Last year there was a way to completely reset the controller buy pressing 2 or 3 buttons together for 4 or 5 sec. One of my teachers told me that just pressing the reset button the the controller doesnt fully reset the controller.

It depends on what you mean by reset, do you mean return to factory defaults? Theres a button combo to do that. Just by pressing the reset switch it basically turns it off for a second and lets it come back on.

To reset to defaults I believe it is hold "Prog" and "Reset", let go of "Reset", let go of "Prog", press "Reset"

Well, "factory default" is the wrong term, it is actually a hardware reset.

We used it last year when the robot controller wouldn't respond to anything.
