I found a 7/16 wrench and a few 1/4 20's in the dryer the other day.

screws, nuts, zipties, allen wrenches, washers... can be found EASILY in my pant's pocket.

that's hilarious!!! :p
but it rarely happens to me...
I do my own laundry and normally clean my pockets of money, change, and the occasional nuts, bolts, etc.

Well, sometimes our garbage can is inconveniently placed a little ways from our working station, so I get these occasional clipped zip ties and wadded electrical tape in my pockets, and if I get lucky, a bolt here or there....
Sometimes I get a scrap metal souvenir if I'm lucky enough :D .
ive brought the backup battery home with me after testing autonomus. also a couple quarter 20 bolts that are now ducktaped to my wall. i also have part of a pwm cable in my coat pocket.
That happened to me alot last season, and after every comp, I kept wondering why all my cloths had little holes in them.

this has definitely happened to me! Being the main electrical person, it's usually wire connectors for me.. but there have been screws, nuts, and drill bits, too..

lol yes that does happen i went to help at lunch then i went to class with 2 zip ties around my wrist and a spring clamp on my kilt!
You wear a kilt?
No, this doesn't happen to me. But only because I make sure my pockets are empty when I wash clothes. I'm fiddling with a 10-32 locknut as I type this. =P
It's a useful habbit, checking your pockets...My sister washed my cell phone once. =\

I usually empty my pockets before doing laundry (if I have time to do laundry during build season), but I have gone out to get dinner without taking off my safety glasses.

I am always writing and working on something... I have inadvertantly washed many a pen.
I have a pair of 'FIRST jeans' - I recommend everyone has a pair - that I wear any time I think I'll be working on something. They are ripped up, have motor grease on one of the legs, and holes around the pockets, mainly from allen wrenches. There are pictures of them prior to the 03 season that show them still in pristine condition, as opposed to the aftermath of the 05 season, where they are indeed a sorry sight to see.
Yup thats my dryer, I usualy leave my machinest scale and pizza money in there too...
