From what i can see already it looks like a very eye pleasing robot, seems like alot of teams are starting to make their robots good looking as well as functional.
Good job!
How did you paint the bot? It doesn't look like spray paint
It looks really cool, the parts that I can see, cant wait to see it (the whole thing) up close.
That is the best-looking tower sprocket I've seen. Nice paint job, too. Can't wait to see it in person in Atlanta.

That looks hot, why did you deicde to have the sprocket catch every other chain link?

It is powder coat. I think it is fluorescent and would glow under black light. In any case, it is very bright hot pink.

I love it, every gear looks perfectly placed and parts fit suberbly. I wish our robot had that quality but it works quite well anyways.

To save weight...
Are you that close to the weight limit? Or was it a predetermined idea to save weight to avoid problems encountered in past years?
Very sleek looking bot yet again.

They traded every other tooth for "PINK". I think it's a good balance between form and function. :)

We spend a very large portion of our build time to CAD the entire robot. We do as much as possible to cut weight on the robot without sacrificing the structural strength, and functionality of the robot. This is why you see a lot of holes around the robot. So yes, it was predetermined to save as much weight as possible when designing the robot.

See if i went to the UCF regional and didn't see pink in sight, i think the world was coming to a end. I love having them at my regional always a great robot and a great team. If there was no pink in sight, i might die in fright

Actually, the "missing teeth" thing was probably more to make people curious than anything else.
The robot weight was fairly closely calculated from the volume of material going into the machine, but we had to go on a small last-minute diet of "pocketing" the robot's panels on the inside.

You know what I like about that robot, the way they manged to carve out think pink into the sprocket and then as always paint it pink. =)
Hope you guys come to NYC this year looking forward to seeing the pink team. =) if not NYC then maybe atlanta.
