Wow. I didn't even notice the camera. That is a very nice mount on a cool robot.

Is that an electrical outlet right above the camera? Maybe they plan on providing power to the field as they compete.

We are very fortunate to work at the Prototype Lab in Kennedy Space Center.

In due time, you will see the differences. ;)
Is that an electrical outlet right above the camera?
No, just a cable to give the camera some power.
My guess is that they milled the entire robot from a single piece of metal, then cut the joints and painted it. The percision is simply amazing.
I jealous of all the goodies you must have access to working at the prototype lab.
If there's a petition for a full bot picture, consider my signature on it.

haha no, this isnt built from just a single piece of metal (although that sounds kind of cool)... but we get our precision from designing the entire robot before we build it. :) patience pays off.
we are so blessed to work at the Prototype Lab... its a shame some people on the team seem to take it for granted. :-/
and for those of you who really want to see the final version of 2K5... you'll just have to be patient. it's coming soon, i promise! Although i must say... when you see the final picture, you might be dissapointed. ;)

I dont think I could be at this point, I wouldnt mind if the rest of it is made from cardboard, I just want to see it. :)

1) jealous of the paintjob
2) jealous of the incredible teasers you guys keep posting
3) jealous of the fact that you can drive your robot outside without worrying about snow tires ;)
