This is a picture of "The Grip", about 4 days before shipment. It works like a charm, the best robot we have built so far. Any comments are most welcome :D

Is that a 24" stroke cylinder? If so .. how long does it take to fill? :p

Yes, its set up for multipositioning. We go in a match with tanks already filled to around 110 PSI. It doesnt take very long to lift a tetra even with the PSI below 30-40 PSI. About 8-10 seconds to go to maximum on empty tanks. However, in a match the pressure rarely goes below 40 PSI which is sufficient to lift a single tetra up.
Thou shall fear 1219. This has been, without a doubt, the best year yet. Although our number in team members has declined dramatically we pumped out an AMAZING robot, I for one am totally looking foward to the competitions =D.
is it possible for a tetra to line itself up across the front under the guide with the flat side towards the robot? What do you do if that happens?
The way we practiced it this never happened, but with two veteran drivers i'd say they would be able to manuver their way to position it so that the vertex of the tetra bumps into the opening that we have. Then again what do I know...I just film ;).
