Great Job! We had discussions early on about doing that very design of the End of Arm Manipulator and decided to go another route. It is obvious to me that you over came our early concerns. Good Luck this season.

Very nice gripper design. Team 237's gripper was very, very similar and it worked extremely well in competition. They loaded primarily from the human player, but not for any particular reason.

I thought you might like to know how that concept worked in an actual competition.

Well done,

Paul

We can pick up from the auto loader probably easier than the floor. We were in the middle of a demo at our open house before ship day and one of the observers wanted to see us pick one up from the floor so we obliged. Thanks for the compliments :o

Did you guys already go to a regional? I'm pretty sure that design should bring you way up in the ranking! I'm looking forward to see you guys at the dome. That Grabber is just awesome, and it looks like your driver is pretty skilled as well! : ) Go Go Cyber Blue : )!

Our first regional isn't until this weekend in Orlando. From there it's Purdue and then as you said the dome in Atlanta.

Good job, it's similar to ours in the sense that it "wedges" the tetra. Ours isn't a scissor design like yours, and its powered by pneumatics. Here's a good picture of ours: http://www.team237.com/gallery/Build-Season-2005/P2150005_Medium

Wow, that does look simliar. Main differences are we use a tower lifting mechanism with a shorter arm, and it looks as though you grab the tetra from two points while we contact it at three points - the two bars and the bottom lip that gets up under the tetra.

Look for us at Florida this weekend :]

Thanks for all the great comments. We really appreciate it. Always makes a person(or team for this matter) feel good to see that their work is admired. We compete for the first time this coming weekend at the UCF regional in Orlando. It's going to great. Wish us luck! :]
