Look's expensive
Looks heavy, Wow that must be a great sponsor to give all that dimond plate away to you, how much does that weigh with out the bot, I know that stuff gets heavy.

If a forklift fork goes through that then I think they need to hire some better drivers and fire the bad ones!
Looks great!

That sure looks "purty". Hopefully the shipping company can realize how awesome looking that crate is and give it special care to keep it from getting dented and scratched (you could only hope :))

Yes it looks nice but I see it as a complete waste. It is heavier which takes more work to move around and more money to ship. It is extremely expensive, money that could be used for better purposes. It is completely unnecessary, a plywood crate would do the job just fine.
you miss the point man, theres nothing more macho than something made entirely out of diamond plate.

Ahem.
Maybe to get this discussion back on track and to a more respectful level, I think that your crate looks great. You said 'some of the guys' built this-- students or mentors? Either way, excellent job, you'll be the show of the regional!

It does look good, expensive to build and ship, but well worth it if you want the looks. Good to see teams doing what they want with what they have to make an image.

I take back what I said earlier. Diamondplate is the most macho and coolest looking material. It is wonderful you were able to raise the money for such luxuries. Good job! I hope is attracts a lot of attention wherever you go. :)
