I was first class, only had to do that teaching thing and I would be a Star Scout. I quit before I completed it.

I am probably the greatest scout on the planet. I've had every requirement for Star for 4 years now, but not gotten it. I don't think I've been on any camping trip except the ski trip in the last three years. But I am helping my friends eagle project right now (wiring up this old church with networking and setting up a room where adults can receive free computer training), so I guess thats cool.

I am an Eagle Scout for about seven months now. So, now we need a robotics merit badge (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29143)

You could do something at where you meet or at a public place. I did my Eagle Project at a place where scouts meet.

I am currently a Life Scout (My Eagle board is the only requirement left for Eagle for me, so as soon as I turn in my app. and, hopefully, qualify for a board and, hopefully, pass it, I'm an Eagle Scout). As to my Eagle project, I refurbished a church nursery. Advice if you're looking for a project, look to other religious institutions and schools. My project was for the church that I gave my rotary presentation about FIRST at. Good luck on the trail to Eagle for those scouters out there.

I passed my Eagle Board of Review in October and had my Court of Honor in January. For my project I cleared a section of trail through a piece of town-owned land. I got a chance to walk through the completed trail when I was home for Winter break, and it was really cool to see it completed.

One of our founding students, Nick Helmer earned his Eagle Scout today. I was honored to be a special guest in his Eagle Court of Honor. He was one of the first students I recruited for team #1038 three years ago. He started a FIRST LEGO League team, advised it, and helped set up and run a FLL regional (14 teams) at our school last year for his Eagle Project. An awesome young man and a gracious professional for FIRST and the Boy Scouts of America.

I'm star and all I need to do to get my Life is send a letter to a town selectmen which if I don't finish by February I'll have to do citizenship in the community all over again... (begins working on letter)
I might be a Star but I don't have a Life. (hehehehe)

I was life, I quit about a year ago, Roboticas, working nearly full time and My girlfriend kept )and still keep) me busy, I still think about going back to finish it, Just the project and the paper work with well over a year to go, My advice to all of you is never put it off because as soon as you realize how close you were and that now it wont happen you will undoubtedly regret it.

I got my Eagle about two years ago. For my project, I helped organize the Child Identification Program (CHIP), which went to all 3 schools in my town. Over 1000 students participated.

I earned my Eagle in April. It was such a huge deal for me because most kids in my troop are two weeks shy of their 18th and im only 16 :D .

For my project I assembled seven red cedar benches for the Veterans Hospital in the area.

My advice is work hard and be consistant, but don't burn urself out. I have a few friends who are Life and have been for 2 years now, but they just don't have the drive to do the project.

Also, make sure u zip up ur fly before you stand up to do the Oath and Law :ahh:
