View Full Version : Curb your impatience with mindless internet games

I've already bitten off most of my nails in eager anticipation of the BAE regional, but to spare my nails, I've started to play a LOT of Zuma (http://www.popcap.com/launchpage.php?theGame=zuma&src=big8). Ordinarily, I would opt for more intense mental puzzles, like Merriam-Webster's word game of the day (http://www.m-w.com/game/), but my mind is too occupied! How can I spell "octogenarian" when I'm just 18 short hours away from seeing our robot?!?!

Anyway, what are you doing to keep your nails and mind intact before the competitions commence?

OR do you have suggestions for other ways I could occupy my time/mind?

Read a book, catch up on missed homework, start doing work that you are going to miss from being at comps, go and read every thread on CD from 2001 to now....
Build a AI bot maybe
There are soo many different things to do i cant list them all.

or read a book or something.

Thanks for the suggestion!

And yes, I read books. Actually, I read quite a lot of books. I wasn't saying I was bored; this post was mainly referring to more mindless activities.

Free time? What's that?

I usually have my fun on www.homestarrunner.com. There is nothing like burninating a few peasants to unwind after a long day.

Mindless hours of World of Warcraft works pretty well for me :p
