-- top award of the competition and presented to a team that best represents FIRST and is a model for other teams to emulate was awarded to Team 501, The Power Knights of Manchester West High School, Manchester, N.H., sponsored by FCI-Burndy.
This was our first time submitting!
When they came to the pits with the presentation review sheet we did not know how to interpret it....the section that referred to where to improve...said no recommendation!!!! We were crazy until they finally announced it.
...then as we proceeded to accept our award the Verizon Arena fire alarm went off...they say the time was exactly 5:01

Engineering Inspiration was 342, Burning Magnetos.
btw, the Engineering Inspiration award is apparently not related to the chairman's award submission even though the wording is similar and it sounds like second place. 342 did not compete for the Chairman's award at UCF.

Yeah, 57 won Inspiration at GLR and we didn't enter chairman's there. Though I'm kinda wishing we had.

According to FIRST, the Engineering Inspiration Award is the second-highest award given at regionals. Of course, the highest is the Chairman's Award.

I'm kind of confused falconmaster... what does that site have to do with the Chairmans / Engineering Inspiration Awards?

team 176 won the engineering inspiration award at UTC, good job guys
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! All I have to say is wow! The Waterloo Regional Chairman's Award was won by Team 1006, Port Perry Robotics. I can't believe it! It was possibly one of the most competetive regionals for Chairman's; a lot of "power house" teams. Engineering Inspiration was won by Team 1305. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!
MOE 365 WON CHAIRMANS at Philly

Woot,
Team 503, won the chairmans @ the Detroit regional. I wasn't expecting it at all. I was going nuts. Our robot is really good this year...but we have had some bad luck at who we go up against. It might be us vs. 2 other really good teams. Our alliance at GL, faced a beastly alliance, 66,67,68. Wow. 66 stacked a vision tetra one round. It was crazy, but I feel we should have gotten 2nd place. Detroit was sad until we won chairmans. After we were out of the tourny, I thought the season was over, we were looking at other regionals to attend. NOPE! we won chairmans, and we will be at nationals, and with fair matchups (hopefully), you can see us in that champioship tournament. Good Luck to all going to Nationals!
