Alright everybody! Tomorrow is the first day of qualification matches at the UTC New England Regional. The event has a webcast, which can be found here - http://shsrobotics.org/05/webcast. Enjoy! :)

Is the webcast up yet? I don't have speakers, so I can't hear if it is on, but I don't see any video either? :confused:
Is it up and just not working on my end?

It is working for me too!
However, since I have a dialup, I get a picture/movie every few seconds, if that!
Right now I have a black screen and clear sound, but when I do get a picture or movie it comes in really clear.
Now all I need is a faster connection!

i'm getting audio but not video... i'm not sure what the connection is here, but it's not displaying anything at all... probably just the school's sucky software though, i'll check again when i get home =p

FYI all ye firefox users, I had to boot up IE (ew), but the webcast works, and that's all we care about, right?
When using firefox, I had to manually enter http://159.247.235.150/channel_230_300
into the bar in order to get the webcast to work.
However I have not yet seen a match on either webcasts, just live scores. Does this mean there are no cameras at the main playing field?

Yeah, i am only getting scores rotating through. Can you tell if the scores and records are changing/updating? Are there atually matches going on right now?

My best guess is that UTC's lunch break is from 12-1, since there have been screenshots of live matches posted here..

hey everyone! the webcast had been live since 9 this morning, so i don't know what the problems are, except that maybe you don't have the right software? it opens in windows media (i'll have to check for a version number, i'm assuming 9), and should do it automatically when you click the image. otherwise, the direct link to the stream is - http://shsrobotics.org/05/webcast300.asx. maybe that will help someone?
i'll show the guy in charge this thread tomorrow - maybe he'll have some answers as to why some of you have no audio/video/etc. if you want to get ahold of me in the middle of the day, my phone will be on - 1-203-449-8559. don't worry, i'll run on stage and relay messages. ;)
may i just say that we had 988 unique visitors to the webcast today alone? eeeeeexciting! :D

I also found that sometimes it doesn't work in Firefox, but works fine with IE. In Firefox it opens another window with some random script on it.
Does anyone know if there's a webcast archive anywhere?

i'm not sure if we archived the official webcast, but i know someone on my team video taped a few matches, etc.

Team 1071 taped every match that we competed in, and I believe ( could be wrong) some of the eleimination matches. IF anybody was in an alliance in the qualifing rounds with 1071, you can check out on max1071.com in the next few days.
Also if you guys could PM me, because I'll put preasure on my webmaster to get them up asap
1071 did run out of tape in the finals matches, one of our team members we think filmed it on his personal camera, if thats the case those will be up asap too.
