Periods, Punctuation and Spelling are your friends. Are you trying to say you saw a lot of penalties? We kind of knew that since the first regional! Thanks for the heads up though!

Its not the standard 10pt penalties that kill you its the 30pt penalties for hitting in the loading zones that loose matches. Trust me I've lost matches because some alliance partners don't understand that you can't hit a robot while it is loading. And the judges are very strict this year, so look out and be very carefull afound the loading zones.
I disagree--any penalties are killers. As the weeks go by and the competition gets better and better, it's the little things that will determine wins and loses. Even in the St. Louis regional where we competed, we lost 2 rounds due entirely to our human player. In one round on Friday our HP that day had one foot out of the loading zone and we lost by 3 points. On Saturday we had to change HP's due to illness, and in our first round of the day he put his hand on a tetra during autonomous, and lost the match by 1 point. In the regionals I've watched, either live or webcast, it seems that more often than not the team that is penalty free wins, and any penalty can cost you the match.

Although penalties are a killer, most are simple things to avoid, keep your robot away from oponent's loading zones, and keep your robot and HP in the correct loading area.
Also make sure each HP is on the correct pad, in practice rounds I saw robots being dissabled by the wrong HP.
