As always, the deadline is Saturday at Midnight.

Carefully 1071 quietly snuck up on the unsuspecting herd of referees hoping to catch the lot of them off guard when at the last second it realized : it had brought a tetra instead of a cage and it was too small.

Ref 1: I really hope that thing doesn't backdrive.
Ref 2: Why exactly are we standing here?
Ref 3: To scare people with bad depth perception.
Ref 4 (to 1071): Keep in mind that dropping a tetra on a ref is a 50 point penalty :ahh:

Arefin Bari

Team 1071 Driver: alright lets see, we should drop it on the referee all the way to the right.

Team 1071 Operator: No, we should drop it in the middle to see how many ref we can cap at once.

Team 1071 Driver: No, I am the driver. We are going to dump it on the ref all the way to the right.

Team 1071 Operator: I am not dropping it.

... both fights.

Team 1071 Driver: Wait robot isn't moving.

Team 1071 Operator: It's because the time is up and the robot is disabled .. durrrhhh...

... 1071 driver Smacks himself.

Hey guys, hold on a minute. Where's this weird shadow coming from? It seems to be getting bigger.

Little did the refs know about the revenge of 1071, he has his own idea on de-scoring tetras....

Coach - "Move a Little to the left"
Driver 1 - "Quick lower the arm"
Driver 2 - "Maybe they will reconsider that last penalty"

<not part of entry> I hope Billfred has seen some old episodes of "Get Smart" so this entry makes sense.</not part of entry>

"Since this is such an important decision, the manual says we have to discuss it in private. Tell team 1071 to lower the tetra of silence."

Driver 1071: "Wait maybe I still need to get a few more points to break the high score that was set and have Dave give me those Krispy Kremes.....maybe I can cap these refs???"

Spectator 1: How many people do you think the 'bot can trap?
Spectator 2: No clue...hey! I'll bet you it'll smack someone right upside the nose and make 'em all fall like dominos!
Spectator 1: Yeah! You're on buddy!
Spectator 2: What're we betting on?
Spectator 1: A box of Krispy Kremes! Dave'll get so jealous!
Spectator 2: Oh yeah! Let's do it.
Both spectators watch, and notice the tetra never falls. They sigh sadly, and then spot someone in the distance. It's Dave Lavery prancing by with...a box of Krispy Kremes! The guys stand there, jealous and beady eyed, glaring at Dave. Dave, on the other hand, takes a big bite out of a KK doughnut in front of them and skips away, singing happy Care Bear songs along the way...

Where you guy's get that pic?!?!?!? :ahh: ... Team's aren't supposed to know about our intimidation to the refs... there is a reason why 1071 had no penalities thursday or friday :)

Ref 1: quiet this penalty regarding 1071 is really important!!
(refs continue to talk despite ref 2 trying to tell them about there unsafe practices)
Safety Inspectors burst onto field: What are you doing!!! Remember how FIRST has an increased awareness of safety!!!
Ref 1: What are we doing (looks up) Oohhh.....

Rejects of the 2006 FIRST Game Design Meetings - Dave Lavery's idea to use past competition field elements to create Ref Trap, a life-sized robotics version of the Milton Bradley board game Mouse Trap, was soundly rejected by the design committee. Everyone acknowledged that having a robot autonomously stack four 2003 bins to trigger a 2001 big ball to roll down an arm of the 1998 scoring platform, pushing the 1999 puck into a 2001 goal that fell over and vaulted Team 190's acrobatic 2004 robot up and over the 2000 hanger bar to kick a PVC tube from a stationary 2004 goal that allowed 11 purple 2004 balls to roll down the 2003 ramp and trigger the 2004 ball corral that allowed another alliance robot (that's two so far) to fall out of the corral and bounce off of the 1997 inner tubes so it could land on the 2001 see-saw which would launch a human player into a 2002 goal (filled with 1999 floppies and minus the center PVC tube - ouch) which would smack into a third robot, arm extended, dislodging the 2005 tetra to trap referees who were lured to the spot underneath the trap by a pile of tasty looking 1992 corn because the regional staff was instructed not to feed them before the competition started would be "hella cool" in theory, but too unfair in practice, for the inconsistent appetites of the volunteer refs from regional to regional would give some teams a decided edge over the rest, as certain refs would be more inclined to venture into the trap area to eat than others. For the refs pictured in this photo of the game mock-up, that was not an issue, as Dave locked them all in his basement for three days with only the aroma wafting from 100 empty Krispy Kreme boxes to keep them company.

(spoken in a quiet whisper, like a Discovery Channel documentary)

Watch carefully as the 1071 machine quietly sneaks up on the unsuspecting herd. The group is found at their usual spot of leisure, nestled comfortably in the Valley of the Middle Range. Little do they know that they are being stalked and are about to be captured. The cycle of life must go on, however, for it is Zebra season.
