I remember those. Think I have one somewhere. I haven't officially been on a team that long-- at that time I was still "Official Robo-Orphan" for the BeachBots. I still have the button somewhere.
Well I could go on for a long time with buttons, but these are some that I find really awsome!
From team 233 Think Pink, it says "Real Men Wear Pink"
From team 21 Combbat, it says "New! Half the calories, twice the fun!"
From team 21 Combbat, it says "Oh, the power of cheese!"
How about this Ken Wittlief original?

Ummm lets try not to Brag here, that was alittle edgy buddy...
anyway I like the Chessy Poofs Buttons (254)
Dont have a pic but one of them had Cartman from South Park on it that said
"Got Poof?"
It was pretty sweet.
A team at Annapolis made buttons in the shape of the tetra corner pieces. Those were in high demand. I wish I had a picture, but they were definitely the most creative and coolest buttons I have seen so far.

My favorite by far has got to be 179's button. When you close the pin it compeletes the circuit and the eyes were LED's and they lit up...those are awesome!

This is my favorite - its not a button its a pin I got at the last championship at Epcot - I dont remember what team gave it to me, each member only had one or two to trade with other teams.
Its metal with enamal paint? the eyes are leds and they blink (needs new batteries)
I also had an Xcats keychain from back in '99 or 98 - it had a quote from Malcom X, I forget exactly, something about education being our key to the future.
I lost it a while ago - Wish I still had it. was on my keychain for years.

I have to agree tha the "Dave says 'That's Pimp'" and the "Dave says; "That's Pimp TOO'" buttons oare the best.
The team with the tetra keychains is 225 and they have posted a picture of them on here...too busy to find it right now though.
The team with the tetra clover buttons is Metal Moose, a 4 digit team.
I got a Kiss Me I'm A Rookie button from someone, it is nifty.

I was wrong...I was thinking of the keychains that 225 showed a picture of on CD. But I guess a team had tetra clover buttons. Interesting.

I'd say 122 have undoubtably the coolest buttons I have seen. Each button is a piece of thin aluminum waterjet/laser CNCed with with "Team 122" and a lightening (not lightning) pattern. Around the outside, little plastic beads are snapped in to make it into a little omniwheel. This is probably the only button I actually care to save.

Hey! You just "stole" my two favorite buttons (that aren't ones I made...) from Annapolis! The moose button is just adorable and the Kiss Me I'm A Rookie button is cute, but extra special because I got it while waiting for the shuttle bus at the end of the competition, and I had a wonderful conversation with a freshman on that team, and let me tell you, if the rest of her team has as much enthusiasm as she does, then keep an eye out for 1629 because they are going to be amazing! Well, even more amazing than they already are...

Is it the tropical 233 pin with the tree and a white background? My friend has one like that and I have never seen that one before until this year.

I got one of the "Dave says thats pimp too" buttons ( Thanks Heidi ! ) theyre awesome. I also liked the CNC smoked lexan buttons that 1449 was handing out at annapolis.

I think the best buttons at VCU are Sparky's buttons and 975, 122 is cool too.

I got that button, too. That might just be the quintessential Chesapeake Regional button, though I thought 1391's moose button was just as cool and unique. Our button, I thought, looked the most conservative....though I'm planning to make our head advisor "cool" next year.

975 those are awsome buttons tho..
the ones that i loved at the GLR were team 547.. the winning combination tic tac toe board with triangles square circle to be like FIRST logo and to be like tetras .. so i thought it was coool
bees team had cool buttons too
I really like team 1126's matchbook buttons.
I also like 578 blue lightning that says "This ain't your daddies science fair." I find that humorus.
For LED buttons i like the X-Cats paw that is cool.

I'm sure there are flashier and slicker buttons out there, but this is the best button our team has had in several years.
of course, our most popular givaway is the shop rag, also upgraded this year.

I like team 48's button i think it was, it was like one of those flashing led ones. and also, some other team in florida, the button didnt have a team number on it, but it had "Evil Monkey" on it...It is so great, wish I had a pic of it. Darn, I forgot to get a button from 233 in Florida, I'll never get another chance to get one...what if theyll mail it to me?

um those might be new.. but i think the ones Carter's talking about are the "233 Hottie" buttons! they're rare... even harder to find than the "Real Men Wear Pink" and the "Pink is Contageous" buttons! ...i have yet to get my hands on one... :p but if you do manage to get one, feel special! ^_^

1089 has 12 different buttons this year, each one more cheesy than the last. Collect 'em all.
The second image I attached is a little different in button form, but I just like it. Snapple cap and all. XD
