I must say...it's about time!

Since we both started the team back when 237 was a rookie, I must admit we've had our share of head-butting. But without fail, he's always been there for the team, and I can honestly say that none of us would be where we are today without his influence, me included. My most memorable experience was in 2001 when he led the 24-hour design turnaround from the 19'6" ramp into a 21" beast that could crawl under the bar with the stretcher in the off-season.

I have the utmost respect for him, and I hope that he'll be inspiring students for years to come.

Yeah.. That was a heck of a ride that year. And it just keeps getting better and better despite all the speedbumps.

Congratulations to Kurt! He has been there through the thick and thin of not only the team's ups and downs, but also his own. We are very greatful for that. Here's to at least 7 more great years of mentorship.

Although, my favorite pics of Kurt were not released to team 237's WFA webpage HERE (http://www.team237.com/wfa.htm), and include these favorites.

And I have a pic of Kurt with a beard, but... he's saved for today cause I can't upload it to our site now.

If it was not for Kurt "Kurtbot" I would have never been able to start a robot team. Kurt a former student of mine was in the right place at the right time. If he had not come along I would have built the bot entirely out of wood. Kurt thanks again for being there for the team. You do make it happen.
