Things went well today, I have to give some mad props to the Philly staff, things were running very smoothly and each practice round had two sub matches. There were a few problems towards the end of the day but everything ran smoothly for most of the day. A lot of the teams here have experience from previous regionals and it shows with several robots. It will be interesting to see how things go tomorrow teams seem to be constantly improving so that matches are probably going to get better.

Probs like not resetting our robot before the match. Doh! We had signal trouble early in the match b/c of our failure to reset. The IFI guy, who is doing an excellent job at this regional helped us on this one.
The IFI guy is really helpful at this regional, def much better than the guy at Trenton, & prolly the best IFI guy.
The only problem I have with the regional is that there is no practice field. We have a little autonomous trick we want to test when starting with a tetra (watch team #293 for it today, you will get a good laugh!), but we need some field space to see if we can get the tetra to fall in a 5' tall goal.

Apparently you've never explored the streets of Philly, and tried them as a temp. practice field. As long as you block off traffic in all directions, it runs rather smoothly
