ok just wondering, and please don't post your own team and be honest
mine would be
179 it takes skill with all that speed
118 it is tough to use a strafing robot, it takes awsome communication between drivers
1502 pretty good for rookies i think
well i am sure there is more but i can't think of any right now

I think 111 has very good drivers, using that incredible drive of theirs. Also 254's drivers are very good too.
I would say for the most control over thier robot has to be 179. You all have seen them.

67, definately. 3 wheel drive swivel steer, anybody? :yikes:
I think 111 has very good drivers, using that crab drive of theirs.
hey just to let you know they don't have crab this year. i heard that they ran out of motors.
i think that team 79 has the best drivers. they have a crab drive system but they have to switch through the different settings to do the different things. like if they want to turn using their back wheels they have to press a button. if they want to do something else they have to press a button. that takes a lot of concentration. good job guys.

179 and 111...you can tell they have had tons and tons of experience/practice.
Teams 25 222 103, there are so many more but those are off the top of my head, oh also 358 had an awasome drive team to.

179 and 111...you can tell they have had tons and tons of experience/practice.
most of it is probably communication between the drivers which without you can't be a exceptional drive team
i worked on that al lot so we could be smoother on the field but they had to have had practice with that speed though

1503, I'm amazing... lol jk,
1114, peter and jeff are amazing, they are great guys too! Pete capped a tetra in the last 2 seconds of the finals match to gain them 3 points and beat us, by 1 point, in the end.

yeah 118 did an awesome job with Chainzilla this year 233 did good also except some times they went to far when scoring and had to try twice but drivers have some intense pressure coming their way

Yan and Alex of 639 are just wow!! With two disabled alliance robots in both quarterfinal 2.2 and 2.3 at GTR, these two capped like there was no tomorrow.
But I must say that the entire winning alliance at GTR had awesome drive teams, they were all so, so accurate, its scary.... :)

103, 25, 365 and 179 off the top of my head.

How about 71's rookie drivers Andy and Matt. Those 2 control that crab drive and PVC arm beautifully. I love watching it move around the field. (well when I'm in the stands or standing next to the alliance station with them, not against them). ;)
These 2 guys have obviously put in alot of effort in getting ready to take on the huge responsibility of driving, especially for a team with the reputation that 71 has. Props to them and all the other rookie drivers out there. I was there once.
PINK!
I've heard that Team 233 has some high-quality drivers. Must be some great driving involved in order to finish two regionals with a #1 ranking, and then go on to win both.
From NASA/VCU Regional:
Team 401 did an amazing job coordinating their driving with their turret-mounted telescoping arm.
Team 122 did a darn good job of driving too.

first what kind of driver are we talking about? is it skill or just a nice person
well for skills has to be Anthony from team 56 just amazing check 56 out at nats.
the nice driver is Corey from team 25.
some how my picks are both leaders of the East Coast Drivers Union.

I think 1213's chassis drive is very good. He can run circles around other robots, and lines up with goals and the auto-load almost perfectly every time.

111 has some good drivers and I gota give 179 their props great work at UCF.

Of the regionals we have been in I must say 254 are amazing and the three cute girls who drive 69 are pretty awesome too.
Looking forward to Atlanta.

Thanks!, Tytus and Amanda have amazed me so many times I can't count. I'm really going to miss them at the wheel and in the shop... *sniff* why do they have to grow up??
Oh well, the world will be better off with them around - good kids.
Not to spout back, but you pink guys knocked my socks off. Especially that 1st round of quarter finals when we threw a chain and 1592 were having problems - you guys nearly won that match by yourselves against an awesome capping alliance. That was really impressive. I remember just standing back and watching you guys go to work picking up the slack. Awesome.

thanks, yeah that was definitely interesting and if we didn't have our arm touching that last tetra we would have won but things happen but i am just glad i am doing good for my first year on the team and making tower operator but man playing with swamp was awsome.

67, definately. 3 wheel drive swivel steer, anybody? I agree that doesn't look very easy to drive to me and they seem preety fluid with it and all

Being one of 312's leads on strategy this year I saw many drivers preforming awesomely out on the field, but two teams that stick out would have to be 179 and 1251. 179 was just flat out, full force, take no prisoners driving while still being successful. Swamp Thing truly showed what the AM transmissions are capable of when in the right hands. As for 1251, by the time they had reached the end of the seeding matches for Palmetto they were demonstrating smooth and effortless driving, and although many teams did this, 1251 was the only team I was aware of whom had two sets of drivers. I probably would have never noticed their two drive teams if I hadn't been standing near them when they swapped in the finals. I really hope to see some more awesome drivers in the coming Championships.

I don't know how they are this year, but last year at nationals I really enjoyed watching team 16 BBS. They are just amazingly smooth and calm drivers.
Another has to be 233 PINK. They destroyed everybody so far this year and the robot didnt just do it by itself so props to you guys!!!
Last i have to put 71 in there because the Beast wouldnt be a Beast without them!!!

Thanks dude my teams drivers Andre and Geoff will really appreciate it!!!

Hmm... best drivers? 233, 179, and 79 (I may just be a little biased on the last one for some reason :D ).
233 for their awesome robot, 179 for their amazingly fast robot, and 79 because their crab drive is incredible (and they were our mentors last year...)

I was SO surprised this year with 1251 from the previous year. It almost felt like a different team. I think its takes more than having skillful drivers. It takes a good robot + good drivers = to make a good team. I am sure there are many great drivers out who are doing well with pretty low end robots. 111 has always had the best, of the best, of the best engineering and programming on their bot. If I had to guess, it is probably drives like a dream! And for 179, it drives so smooth most of our grandmothers could win a regional if they had the swamp bot. In the words of Tytus "drives like a Cadillac, Pushes like a Caterpillar" Practice does make perfect, I am sure most of the top seeding teams had a ton of practice time.

71. It shows with their trophies lol

well as a driver from 1251, thanks to all those for compliments, as for good driving teams, the fluidity in which 233's arm is operated as well as the precision of their driving makes them in my eyes the best drivers. I'd also like to recognize 179, it takes a good driver to control that robot.
here is some of my picks for past years and present:
2005: 71,79, 67, 1213, 66, 1114, 45
2004: 65, 111, 494, 71, 45
2003: 111, 469, 65 (i wonder why), 16, 292, 45, 25, 66 (man i loved this year)
2002: 71, 173, 111, 469, 67

As for the best drivers my vote goes to 233, 845 and 25. From what I have seen so far but im sure that there will be awsomet drivers at the Championships.

as one of the scouting leaders of 1251 I got the pleasure of watching wonderful machines but the ones that really caught my eyes with their drivers were 86 with the crazy looking mini-me arm that mimics into the big arm, 233 with the cool controllers that I think look like xbox controllers (correct me if I'm wrong here) 179 with one of thet fastest machines and one of the fastest arms, 845 with the toy grabbing arm which I love (cutting ............... edge) 337 even though their arm fell out they still played with it on the floor following the robot around while they played awesome defense

I've seen a lot of great drivers with their 'bots. But I must say, and I'm not saying this 'cause I love these teams, but these are just what I've seen over my years:
25, 122, 222, 303, 365...
Those're it for now. Can't think of many more.

at palmetto we were beaten by the driving skills of 1051 and their alliance. those were some intense matches.
also at palmetto, team 180 (SPAM)'s great defense caught my eye. especially in the semi's when they stopped 86 from capping that goal. they showed very effective strategy and good execution.
there was this one driver who actually had the robot named after himself... which team was that again?
this year competition was hard and i would say team 254,364, 1031, and 007 had great driving

I think that 312, 1251, 179, and 233 have the best drivers this year.
Final Match One, Midwest 2005. Team 903 stacks a tetra on Beaty, the only chance is in the exactly moment, when they are capping the first 2 tetras... owesome!!!
Great drivers

i'd like to giva little credit for our drivers. after all we did win a regional because of their exceptional driving. being first year drivers they had three robots pinned when playing defence. other than that, i like 1305, 1114, 188 ,1558, and 111. they are all awesome
