NOOOOOOO!!!! When will your part air? I support FIRST, but frankly, I've been waiting 3 years to see Family Guy come back, and there will be a new episode of American Dad....

I'm just bumping this thread up to remind all that Krunch 79 will be in the Home Makeover tonight at 6-8 P.M. Central Time on ABC.
There will also be a How'd They Do That show tomorrow night from 7-8 P.M. Central Time.
FYI, FIRST has placed this in their news section on usfirst.org. Check it out and watch the show to support FRC Team 79.

I will be watching tonight, can't wait
I am going to tape it because I know that I won't be home to see it but I'm excited to see what team 79 can do.
I love Extreme Makeover Home, I will be watching tonight. I wonder if the child will become a member of a FIRST team?
watching the pre-show, i just saw some 79ers cutting/assembling/modifying the kit chassis at the building site. i've seen some creative uses of the kit bot, but this oughta be interesting...

Having seen (presumably) what there is to see in the robot room, I have to tip my hat to the guys (and gals) of 79.
To think that this one team did all of that in the same week as doing the Florida Regional simply boggles the mind.
On a side note, I guess we'll have to play spot-the-gear now. I noticed a Vex kit, a Mindstorms kit, a 2004+ IFI RC, and a slew of servos. Anyone else?

Wow!!! That room is awsome!!! You guys did so well on it. I didn't catch the first hour, but I caught the unvealing.
By the way, congrats on the Judges award at Nats, you guys deserved it.

parts of the kit chasis have been used to build a shelf(s).
What you guys did to help this faimly is utterly amazing. I am at a loss for words, for what you were able to do. You were able to partially help this family to acheive. This entire show was utterly amazing. I normally do not cry, but what you helped this family do, and what they had gone through previously made me cry. In my opinion this is one of the biggest displays of gracious professionalism i have ever seen.
They did a great job on the room. Great job team 79, you are what FIRST is about.
Man I thought there would be more on them then there was. Well maybe tomorrow on How'd they do that there will be a lot more on them.

Wow what a great job done by lexington, team 79, and everyone involved. I am extremely impressed and happy to know that the Dolan's life is a little bit better for them. Once again congrats to the Wahnish's and the rest of team 79....
I was also extremely pleased to see my school give their son a scholarship....I am not really all that pleased with USF all the time, but this was something I was very happy to see done.
Once again a wonderful effort....

Congratulations to team 79! I got off work at 8, but I saw the part where the child saw his room. That looked so amazing!!! :yikes: I wish I had a room like that. My dad told me something about a 130 lb. robot? I guess it was that arm I saw? Anyways, I'm really happy for you guys having the opportunity to do something like this. Again, congratulations! :D

I found this show to be the most touching episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Congratulations to everyone involved!
I want to extend my extreme appreciation to everyone involved with FIRST who pulled this event off. This young man has an excellent room filled with great robots built using the VEX robotics kit. I hope he can become apart of a local FIRST team and with his scholarship from the University of South Florida become an exceptional engineer.
Team 79, your team represented the spirit of FIRST with elegance. Everyone in FIRST is proud of you and thanks you for your participation in such a worthwhile cause.

I've only seen Extreme Makeover: Home Edition once before, and this was truly amazing!
Those people seemed so deserving... And it's great that you guys lent a hand! (Or arm...)
I hope that we'll get to see more of 79 on the "How'd They Do That?" Episode- I'd love to see exactly what you guys did!
I saw a bit of the show -- I think it was from 7-9 instead of 8-10 like I was told... so I only saw small bits where they showed the one room. Excellent job! You guys should be very proud of yourselves. :) I've never seen that show before, but I was definitely moved.

Does anyone have a video tape they'd be willing to lend me? Sadly, I missed the show, but I'd really like to see it (so would my mom). :)

One BIG problem.....
Not enough robots! :D
I really hope they show more about the room and FIRST during tonite's special.
We are hoping for more about Charlie's room so that people can get a better look and understanding for that the team did. We are also hoping to stay in touch with Charlie and his family, perhaps he will join our team or something. So glad everyone watched. It was quite an experience being able to help out with something so amazing.
I almost cried so many times watching that show last night. ABC finds the nicest, most deserving people and I'm so happy for them.
(I can never watch that show with my mom because she gets jealous and complains...
And I found it kind of disappointing that the "Design Team" called 79 "Engineering Students" instead of the robotics team or robotics students...
