Pirates vs Ninjas (poll now included!)

I got to thinking one day (a rare occurrence mind you) and thought what are cooler pirates or ninjas. Pirates have ships and they loot and plunder and ninja just sounds cool. I can,t pick one tell me what you think. :D

We had this debate at CTY and I say ninja all the way b/c they're awesome and they throw stuff! Although they do attack from behind, they wear black n black is always in fashion. In plus, they have mad kung-fu fighting skills whereas Pirates just say "YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M A PIRATE!!!!" lol :D

has a super long really gorey family history


It is quite indeterminate to choose either. Do I smell a 'You might be a ninja if..." or a "You might be a pirate if..." thread?

Ninjas, no question! (by the way, don't take the credit for coming up with this question, it's been a raging online debate for years).

Can a pirate slice your head off from a hundred yards away?
Can a pirate impale you without you even knowing you've been spotted?

Additionally:
Shuriken are way cooler than parrots.
A Katana is way cooler than a pistol.
Ninjas can use makeshift weapons like piano wire.
It takes a lot of pirates to take over a ship. It would take a single ninja.

Well my friends and I have had this debate several times. I think it all depends on whether you would want to be threatened by natural disasters like a storms on the sea or real people like sheriffs and bounty hunters.

Also, since females were not in good positions (no respect, rape, ect) it would be easier to hide my gender as a cowboy than it would being a pirate (smaller living space, crowded).

Wait? Have I been rambling on and on about cowboys and pirates? NEVER MIND!

Pirates are cool in the cool rugged nifty way, but Ninjas were way more hardcore.

This arguement has actualy come up on 461 before, and i solved it by declaring myself a Ninja Pirate. Thus being the ultimate warrior.

Now the better arguement is Transformer Vs. Transformers...but that arguement is actualy a trick because everyone knows that they are seperate universes and even if they were in the same universe, they wouldn't battle cuz they are both out to fight evil....a DUHH!

Why Pirates are Better than Ninjas

1. Pirates have ships. You can threaten people with seasickness.
2. Pirate men wear jewelry, and men +rings (anywhere appropriate)= hot.
3. Pirates wear sexy clothes. I would know.

5. Yar is the best word ever.
6. You can run around in stripes and people won't assume you're a convict.

It depends on the situation, in a sword fight either one could win, as both have a lot of experience with a sword. However the ninja would most likely win in hand to hand combat, as many pirates only have one.

After all, just watch any Indiana Jones movie, and then watch Pirates of the Caribbean. One man (Indiana) can easily knock out an infinite number of ninjas, while no matter how many people try to kill a pirate (like Jack Sparrow) he always gets away.

I would have to say pirates. Pirates are freaking awesome!! And NOT just the Pirates of the Caribbean kind; I mean the real, plundering, YAR pirates of yesteryear. Pirates made twisting the truth an art form! And I don't mean lying, I mean taking exactly what was said, following it to the minutest detail, and STILL getting exactly what they want while managing to ruin your day. Also, true pirates would never sneak up on someone and stab them in the back. If ninjas preach honor, why would they do that?
