OK,
Just for the heck of it, I am making a thread to show off your robot's control systems. Or the drivers/operators interface. Here is a pic of ours. It's not the great(the pic),but it works. So post away.

Team 45's OI can be found here (http://technokats.org/images/2005/45%20operator%20interface.jpg) . Since that picture was taken, we have change the arm joystick (the white stick) to a more likable joystick which our operator found easier to use. We also added a light pole which has 3 colors. It has a red light for when they are not coming to the HP, a yellow light which means they are coming for a HP load, and a green light which tells the HP to load a tetra immediately. There are a few other features, but I am not the OI expert. If you wish to know more, PM Greg McCoy or Austin Butler, they were the two who spent many hours and late nights building it. We will be in the Newton division, feel free to stop by and take a look at it! :)

A picture of 294's surfboard themed OI can be found here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=10235&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose). This is the third year we've done this; it helps enhance our image. Great job to everybody who participated in making it this year (*cough* Bill *cough)!

For our operator interface we went with the whole garden motif. So after a very fun trip to the store and a couple hours of hard work we came up with this OI (http://team341.com/media/missdaisyIV/Building%202005/Building%202005-Pages/Image121.html) and OI (http://team341.com/media/missdaisyIV/Building%202005/Building%202005-Pages/Image119.html)
See Ya at Nats!!!

See this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35971) for 228's operator interface.
I don't have a great picture of our controls, but you can mostly see them in this (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/pictures.php?s=&action=single&picid=10986&direction=DESC&sort=date&perrow=4&trows=3&quiet=Verbose) picture of our pit. Matt made our control board & arm controls (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=37383).
The base of the control board is Plexiglas, it glows red and blue. We set a switch depending on our alliance. The upper portion is all fiberglassed. In addition the the controls Matt wears there are backups on the board, you can kind of see the slider and spin dial for the pot. There's a keypad for the password to turn on and off the lights, and the battery is tucked under the OI.

Heres part of it (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34980&highlight=dominate)...
I like te FIRST symbol in the bottom right corner of the laptop. It makes it look for FIRSTy.:)
we don't have a good shot of it finished, but it's everyone's favorite shape in storage mode and then unfolds with the brain on one triangle and a joy stick on both of the others. You'll just have to imagine the joysticks until you come by our pits and check out the real thing. link (http://ccisd.net/StudentProj/2005build/build12.jpg) and link (http://ccisd.net/StudentProj/2005build/build13.jpg)
