View Full Version : Who has been the most helpful animator???
For all those who were at the Friday animation presentation last year may know that I was awarded for my work with FIRSTanimators. Well, I havent been here like I was last year, and I've seen a good handful of animators contribute quite a bit. I want to do something to show that it's appreciated, even if it's just a t-shirt, or button, or plaque, or something made by me. So while I dont want to garauntee a big award, I am working on it.
Who do you all think have been the most responsive and helpful in this animation forum? Oh, and I will be checking back posts just to make sure...
CD Webmasters, any chance you guys wanna give me a hand with this??? B^P

You know what would be really cool? A trophy of a bronze teapot, like the one in Max. I would love just to see that.

How about we just render a fly-by of an award in Max? None of the cost with all of the recognition...Of course, someone would have a back-up to help restore the winner should computer troubles ever arise...

how abotu a mount rushmore with dean's and woodie's and two other peoples faces on it? that would rock!
I really like the teapot idea. I know of a couple of craft stores and if I can find em, that works wonderfully. They'd be cheap and neat and easy to produce. Oh, mounted on a checkerboard surface =^).
But what I REALLY need to know is: who do you guys think deserves the awards? Who has been most helpful of all of the other animators? Post that instead of or in addition to award ideas.
I'd like for the awards to be software, but there are going to have to be some faries spreading some seriously heavy-duty pixie-dust and some fairy god mothers to grant some wishes for that to happen. Then again, it is going to be at Disney and magic has been known to happen on those grounds...

I feel all gushy inside.
i would have to second albrot's choice, i have seen sunny thaper being the most abundunt helper out in these side of the fourms, but truly can we really pick just one over all, every peron who helps deserved something them self, be able to exert them selfs to help another, in my opinion one of the greatest things about first, not only to the helped but also the helppers, it's good times and feelings all round...

Sunny has been a great help for our team. We felt we couldn't keep him just to ourselves, we had to share him with the world.
Everyone needs to be careful with his or her comments though, Sunny's head could explode from all the praise.
Umm.... Yea, i will agree with everyone else, but that's just for sake of conforming.

Thanks everybody for the recognition. I didn't know that so many people actually paid attention to my postings. As for the GilaAnimator, he is full of it. I love each and every compliment I get and since I have a nice protective cloth cover on my head, my head will not explode.

though this is a little bit off the subject.
I was wondering if you guys want to start a petition for having a award for animations at each regional?
i think that would be really cool to do. What if we came up with what the award looked liek too? mayeb then propose the idea to FIRST about it.
I will run a poll about it

Ya, that's a good idea. Regional animations. Afterall, they go regional chairman's awards. They should also have like a "Peer Award" or something. The award should be chosen by the fellow animators. Like each team submits a list of their favourate animations. I suppose the only problem with this is that a kind of "favouratism" or maybe bribing could occur. We'd all have to take an Animator's Vow to not cheat or sway votes. Like, each team would have to write some kind of consent form or something.

Like I said in the other thread, LA and San Jose are already doing regional animation awards.

Hey are we strill doing this or not?!?!? kinda late, it would have been nice to present this at nationals, but thetre are other times where we can do this.
Just want to keep this thread going because I think it is important to reconize the people who have volunteered and helped the most.
