Is there even a final list of teams competing yet?

Many things can happen... if 42 teams are registered now, a few may drop out up until the week of the Blitz. I don't think it's fair to pick teams yet until we have a more finalized list of teams attending, with less chance of teams dropping out or being replaced.

If you remember for battlecry last year two or three teams dropped out after being picked for FF. It's just the luck of the draw.

Personally I was looking at 1251's RPI for my second pick. 238 was in the top 200 teams. Picking 69 was a no-brainer without the scouting info. I think 3 teams had no ranking.

If I am not mistaken, there are 8 people remaining to make a third round draft pick and only 5 teams to pick from.

I would like to propose a solution that is open to discussion and criticism. I propose that we allow everyone to pick any team left for the third round. So any team that wasn't picked in the first two rounds may be picked by multiple people in the final round. And to make this work, we would have to allow anyone who has already made their third round pick to change their pick to any third round team.

Please continue picking using the old rules and if this other system is desired then you may change your team later. I think this may be the choice that makes the most sense to solve the problem that was caused by teams dropping out of the competition.

Had Team 1071 brought their UTC and Nationals drive team who knows what woulda happened (The 1071 rookie driver got nervous in the semifinals, but hats off to 237, 175 and 61 for one hell of a fight)

Has anyone decided on the how the thrid round is going to be handled? Since my 3rd round pick was #2 seed, I support a three team alliance. Otherwise, can we choose 2/3 robots to score with?

To be totally fair, I think we should award 2 champions (or potentially one if they are the same). A 2 robot alliance champ, and a 3 robot alliance champ. That would be fair to all parties involved.

I was going to figure out my score for both ways, two robots and three robots. I went to the first page of this thread to find the scoring table, but I can't find it. How is everything going to be scored (seeds, finish, selection, etc.)?

Why not just use the Championship one minus all the awards and junk that you can't get (divisionl championship, chairments etc.) I started scoring it that way before my laptop crashed.
