are nats going to be on ESPN

Are nats going to be televised on ESPN for my mommy and grandmother and the such..ive heard rumor of it but i dont know what to tell them

Of course my mom knows how to get to it online but....this is more for the people that are staying behind so they dont have to stare at the computer screen all day...

If it is could you help me out with some times too....

When it was aired on ESPN it usually was months after the fact, if I remember right...

FIRST has not been on ESPN since 1998... or was it 1999.

I definitely know that ESPN has ignored FIRST in 2000 and 2001. So, don't expect it to be on ESPN this year.

listen they put magic the gathering tounaments on tv and that is dull and boring...now granted that is at like 1 or 2 in the morning FIRST is a force that deserves national recognition....ESPN needs to get on the ball

I love Sportscenter dont get me wrong but robotics is the new sport....and its just as exciting as playoff football...

more so i'd say. where else do you have big robots driving around on a field trying to get in each other's way, balls flying in every which way, drivers with their tounges hanging out in deep concentration (come on guys, you know you all do that :D), and best of all, Dean riding around on a Segway? No where else but FIRST! :p Just shows how unique we are.

yea, i can agree with the driver comment you made....we do make really strange faces...just thinking about some of them i've seen on tapes of me driving....hahaha...I know all you other drivers do it too, heck it should beon TV just for the faces we make!!!

and in one match we wheeled our lead engineer out while under the cart repairng one of the drill transmissions....that shoulda been on national tv

Is it ESPN that's ignoring FIRST, or the other way around? I thought I heard somewhere that FIRST paid ESPN to film and air the competition. It would make some sense considering a replayed Sportscenter would bring in way more viewers and cost way less money. It'd also make sense for FIRST to stop going to ESPN since it's been pretty poor (IMHO.)
