FYI- I just got an e-mail notice on this event. They have changed it to a one day event. However, if it's as good as Lil' Lavery says, I'm sure it will still be a great late summer event!! :)
************************************************** ******
SPECIAL NOTICE:
Summer Frenzy will be a ONE day competition: Saturday Aug 13th.
Our original attempt to make it a two day event has met with limited support and caused more than a little confusion.
(If in the future there is a demand for a two day event we have the venue to do it).

On a side note... it's appx. 1/2 hour from Hershey and Lancaster. I had a blast last year, and made a road trip out of it.
I hope to be able to schedule the trip again this year around moving to State College, possibly with a new Seg in tow by then. See you all there!
P.S. A TEAM FROM MICHIGAN! MICHIGAN!!! WOW!

Chuck's planning to make the trip! See y'all there!
The techie type mentors really like this one...they're like kids in the candy store with the Iron Fever Expo! Ask Dave Lavery! (His wife may grab ALL his credit cards before he comes this year.)

Judy, I agree. It seemed like everytime I saw him, he was returning to the pits, smiling, carrying some bag, box, or metal thingy.
I spent time in the bleachers with the public watching. The constant theme was how amazed the public was with all the girls involved.
Ok.....I searched the FAQs, and I'm not seeing an EDIT button.....maybe there's a time limit?!?
ATTENTION PLEASE.....big correction to be made.......
The team coming from MI is 1243 not 1234.
(I can't even pass that off as a typo - I did it TWICE!)
And yes Wetzel.....just email Ron. I'm sure he already read this......he LURKS all over CD but won't register!!

Starting to get a lil concerned......Team 225 alumni aren't really coming through for us this year....
Anyone want to REFEREE at Summer Frenzy on Saturday?!
Karpinski has made some modifications so there are no surprises as to who a match winner is.....
Each team will have 8 Qualifying rounds, in a 2 v 2 format.
The game will use only 4 Referees.
The game will be guided by "Basket Ball Rules". (blocking is OK, but you can't push or hit).
There will be NO penalty deductions. Violations will be handled by awarding a tetra on top of a Perimeter Goal nearest the violation. (Goal is owned).
There will be NO Human Player penalties. Refs will signal when HP's are allowed to load robots.
ALL Robots$@#near the Loading Zone will be disabled when loading.
With only a dozen teams, 2 v 2 qualification format and 24 qualifying matches, we wanted to reduce the potential of damage done by aggressive defensive play and give the rookies a chance to score.
Interested? Email me or Ron.

I am sooo excited for SCPARC knowing that the game will be played 2 v 2. I drove in a match in Philladelphia with team 348; it was the most fun I have haddriving this season!

Sorry, completely forgot about our partner in the high scoring match of the day with 007, it would not have been the high score of the day without you!
Also thanks for a great event.
Going to edit my other post now! ;)

Definately a great competition!!! Kudos to all those who put it together. The 'basket ball' rules worked great! And the 2 v 2 definately improved the game ( I thought so anyway). True the scores weren't as high with only 2 teams, but the game-play was more exciting. Thanks to all who participated and everyone from 225 for putting on sucha great 1-dayer!!!

Chuck would like to say a heartfelt 'Thank you' to Miss Daisy and 1123 for making the perfect ending to a great day possible. You were super partners!
A special word of thanks to Daisy for inviting Chuck to the finals. We appreciate your confidence in us.
To Ron, Mike, Pete, Lisa, and all of the other volunteers who worked together to make this a really fun event, our deep gratitude for all of your time and work. We couldn't have had all that fun without you. Will you do it again next year???
Thanks once again to 341 for picking us. Over the last 5 years, that I have been on the floor team, we have partnered several times, and just like this time we always do great. Keep up the good work. Who knows maybe we can try it again for the third time in a row next year. Also thanks to team 222 for being such a great competitor.
It seems like we are always banging heads with the Tigertrons in the off-season. (and it hurts!!)
We should wise up and try a 222/84/341 alliance.
