SHORT PEOPLE! Omg!
I guess I'm short. I'm 5'1". But everyone knows that.
I'd like to advertise some large and influential organizations...

Triple Yay for short people!! I'm 5'3" ish. but if alicia's not 5'3", im not either cuz shes taller than me. stupid 3/4 of an inch. i like this short people taking over the world thing....so when i take over the world, you can all be in my ruling class.
Please people, let's get things right. We live in a politically correct world. The proper terminology is " Vertically Challenged". To identify yourself you could aways put VC on your signature. This would allow us normal people to be sure that we don't become offensive and insensitive.

Since half of the FIRST events I've gone to this season have involved Big Mike, I feel inclined to join you. Hopefully the 6'0" thing doesn't faze you. ;)

Now, if you really want to get politically correct, let me present myself in a more positive light than "Vertically Challenged."
First of all, short people are not actually challenged. We are in fact, very very very skilled at obtaining family-size individuals to help us reach things and or put us into tall locations. Some of these family-size individuals are people, others are inanimate objects. It varies.
I pride myself in the following descriptive phrases -
Snack Size
Fun Size
Travel Size
Bite Size
Mini Size
Yum Size
Frolic Size
Snack size is a personal favorite, as I am eating a snack presently.
Frolic SizeYa just had to throw that one in there...
And no, I can't join your alliance. Just a bit too tall...

5'3.5 .. and that point five is extremely important .... EXTREMELY ...
oh .. and for other Canadians .. if you are under 5 feet (and fully grown) .. you may qualify for legal midget status ... ... look into it ...

Indeed!!!
I'm 4'11" and am so far the shortest person to post on this thread!! w00t!
"Before you go to college, you need a stool and a tall boyfriend to bring around everywhere" --My Parents, believe it or not
Another point:
We're very useful when those tall ppl are just a tad too short to reach something, and they need an addition to their height.

:ahh: Lovin' the short life. It's taken me all of 5 years to go from 4"9 to 5"4... AT LAST TALLER THAN MY MOTHER. >< Shorter than everyone else.
Vertically challenged is the way to go.
Let's go Shawties. XD
AT LAST TALLER THAN MY MOTHER. >< Shorter than everyone else.
I still haven't out grown my mother. At 5-1 it is horible. Every one I hangout with is at least 5-9 so it is really bad on my neck.

It took me 4 years, and even now, I'm only 1/4 of an inch taller. My best friend, Kyle, in school... all through middle school I was 2 inches taller. Beginning of freshman year we were the same height. Now he won't let me live up to the fact that he's an inch taller than me. Curse ye, Kyle!

I laugh in the face of PC. I am short and drn proud of it. You'd be amazed at how close to the steering wheel of my car I am. My mom use to joke that I'd throw her back out if I didn't adjust her seat after I was done driving.

I am 5 feet 1/2 inch and have freckles. It is crazy because my best friend is 6'3" so we get laughed at every time we stand next to each other.
I'm sure most of you are just late growers, I was like 5'1 when I was 14, now I'm 15 and 5'7.

i'm 5' 3"... like a lot of people! ^_^ i was so excited because last year (Triple Play) i was exactly the height of the goals (with the exception of the center one)... my height actually came in handy at various times during build season... it just invoved me standing very still and praying i'd still have hair by they time whoever was done with whatever they were doing. :p

I'm representing the 5'0" girls here..i'm a junior an i still dont think i've had my grow spurt..haha kinda sad, but as i'm always told "great things come in small packages!" :D I'm not really sad about being short because we have our advantages..an besides when i'm able to reach the tetras of Triple Play i'm satisfied. I'm used to really tall people, an i get called so many names, but it doesnt phase me anymore. I'm proud of who i am. I love getting underestimated by people an having them surprised when i do sumthing they think i cant. ;) Power to them all!

Freshman in college and 5' even
and i was told in 8th grade i was pretty much done growing...:ahh:
although there is hope for some, my brother was short in high school, around junior and senior year he grew a LOT and is now taller than my dad.....he's now 21 and 5' 8" maybe?
My brother's Ogre, and i'm actually his sister, maybe when I go home we'll take a height comparison picture, just for CD :D
I enjoy being short, it makes me who I am, as being in FIRST did and as my new conquest, Eckerd College Search and Rescue will......

Man, I'm disappointed. All the negativity the VC ( I don't know Steve, that makes me think of Viet Cong. I guess they were short too...) has put up with, and they aren't even politically correct. I'm only a few (9) inches too big, and the rest of of "talls" feel left out! Where's your "tall clause" in the club??? The minority shall unite!

Our family is generally short. All the women on my mother's side are 5'5 and shorter. I guess it's the French in us? oO? Napoleon complex.
I don't know. I guess I like being "short". o_o It's bad when I need to pull the chain on lights, or reach stuff high up. However, when I need to assemble/disassemble boxs or various components I can fit into small places.. And my hands are smaller to. ^_^ That helps a lot, especially with electrical stuff.

you're a meanie, cokeley.
Well, I'm 5'2", and I don't think I'll be getting much taller. My mom is 4'11", my dad's mom is 4'11" as well, and his oldest sister is 4'9". But being short does have it's highs and lows (no pun intended:D) like I can get under tables to plug things in, and fit into really small spaces to fix things.
