I havent heard anything in a while, and since Alex and I tried to get something like this started, I was wondering if there is any news on this. I would really like to try and get things started if it is something that can work out. Greg, what info are you able to give us/do you have. Also, I am sure Kim and many others in our area would love to help if it is an issue with people. So I am basically just wondering if we are able to start planning anything, and if not, what are we stuck on? location? money? other??
Alright, so any one with info please get back to me. :)

well we haven't heard anything back from they guy who could get us a field. last time i talked to Greg it sounds like we would be building our own field and stuff with the other Rochester teams and make it an huge Rochester event. and we must start a committee or at least a meeting with people to get this a rolling.

There is no need to build your own field. Contact Tammy Trimble (tammy@usfirst.org) for field reservation and information. It's A LOT cheaper to pay for shipping and insurance than building your own field. Also, a word of advice (when doing event planning, job seeking, whatever...) don't just send a email or leave a phone message and wait patiently for a response. You'll probably become - inadvertently - at the bottom of their to-do list. Keep calling them and let them know that you expect information.

To be honest it has slipped to the bottom of my to-do list. With the end of school, grading, final exam review, final exams, ordering supplies, summer planning, "other" event organization, final projects, team banquet, blah, blah, blah...., it has slipped my mind. I am still willing to help out & I have talked with Kim & she said she would help once she gets back from vacation. SO, give it a few weeks & we will get it back in the loop. I have my kids working on building a new robot for it, so it better happen. (We didn't build the best robot for this year's game, 1 year out of 6 isn't too bad).
Send me a heads up in a few weeks & I'll get right on it.
....mowing the lawn, grading more school work, tutoring students, helping with senior projects, building a new robot for this year, teaching my daughter to walk, mowing the lawn again, planning another fundraiser before the summer, blah, blah, blah, blah.....

Yea, I actually went to a meeting tonite for 1511 [Kim is the leader..] And she told me that she is trying to get some stuff started. I think that it is great that she wants to get into it cuz she is good at getting things done! [In my opinion.]
