We'd like to thank several teams, especially teams 69 and 126 for selecting us once again in Boston. This MA/CT alliance could easily be one of the toughest alliances to face at any regional or invitational with our regular drive teams. We'd like to thank both teams for being loyal to us this year, we just hope we didn't let you guys down with some rookie driver mistakes in the semi-finals.

A few teams to also take note of are teams 237 and 166. Team 237 was really a friendly team to us, one of the adivsors came to our pit area to congratulate us on our UTC victory and were among the best alliance partners in qualifing and if we had to lose we are happy we lost to a first class team like 237, as well as hall of fame team 175.

Team 166 we saw working with the rookie team that couldn't do much and trying to help them come up with a small arm design. That was a great move by their team to help team 1687. I don't know if they got an award or not, but 166 really should have recieved something for their willingness to help out a rookie team that really neeeded some help.

Finally Team 1071 would like to thank all the Beantown Blitz teams for selecting us for the play of the day award. Although I don't really remeber what we did that was so great, it means a lot to us that our peers and mentors on other teams selected noticed us and selected us for the award.

Great times at BtB!!! Thanks to Erin and all the help she received... Though it ran a lot longer than expected it was still a great time... It was great being reunited with team 213 and the team we almost picked in NH 549...

1071- Great looking bot!

I have to say I'm sorry I missed it. I heard it was a great off-season, and I hope to make it to next year's. Congratulations to all the teams! :)

Yes, 1071 received a lot of Play-of-the-day Nominations for a variety of things. Congrats! Also, one of the teams gave me a CT flag to wave around before the finals matches... and I still have it. Whose is it? I think it belongs to 237, but let me know how I can get that back to the owner? Thanks!

There was no letdown by Team MAX...no regrets! In fact, be proud of the fact that you used some rookie drivers during the competition. We have found it valuable to use off-season competitions to try out new drivers. From what I heard from my team, all had a great time. We got some younger pit crew members some valuable experience and got some fresh people driving the machine. They thought it was neat that we ended up with the same alliance as UTC and were under no pressure to "win it all." From what I heard, there were a LOT of quality teams there and some serious alliances to contend with.

And for what it is worth, the competition was fantastic. Anytime you try to squeeze everything into one day, it might seem long. Many of our team straggled home on the T, but everyone I talked to said it was worth it! I think it is a wonderful endorsement of an event when you can get high school students to wake up at 6AM, spend all day at an event, and then have them say they would do it again given the chance...that means something! I would say that BTB is a GREAT off-season competition. Thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen.
