Ok so the new American Idol winner is Carrie Underwood. I love her and wanted her to win because she is a country singer...but i think the she should of tried out for Nashville Star if anything lol I think the best part was when rascal flatts performed ;) lol what did you all think of yesturday if any of you watched it? do you think carrie should of won and stuff? or bo?
So we know who the American idol is.
Can the nation go back to normal now?

No... We can't. What would America be if we didn't waste time on Pop TV Icons and steriods in baseball players? If only the US would spend that much time on FIRST... just imagine next year's senate hearing "did team 111 use steroids in their arm pneumatics this year?" *sigh* If only the US was that concerned.
In my opinion Carrie can't sing. she won a popularity contest, not a talent contest. Bo should have won.
Everyone thought Bo would win. I am still a little shocked with the fact that he didn't win. I think he would sell more than she would too.

For last night's show, I thought it was an insult to this country when they had that woman sing the national anthem. omg it was sooo bad. I thought it was hilarious when David Hasselhoff came to meet that guy. That guy was really wierd though.
As for Carrie vs. Bo, I think Carrie can sing every bit as good as Bo. When Bo is good he is really good, but he's not always good. One time was when he sang Gavin Degraw's "I don't want to be," it was awful. Carrie has much more consistency. Bo may have had a few better performances than Carrie, but Carrie was never awful like Bo was a few times.

I had Carrie picked from the top 24 - woo, go me! :yikes: I also had Carrie and Bo picked for finalists since the top 12.
I'm glad Carrie won; I don't think Bo would have appreciated winning as much (he said numerous times that him even being on Idol was only a bet, and if he left the show things would just go back to normal; no big deal)
Regardless, I'll be buying both of their CDs when they're released!

It all boils down to who sells more albums. I think Bo will be the more successful one... there are already too many watered-down country singing blonds.
