Kevin's PSA for the year:
Not really FIRST related, except that tons of FIRSTers seem to like KKs for some inexplicable reason. Thus I bring you:
Krispy Kreme celebrates National Doughnut Day (http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/050601/nyw070.html?.v=15)
Krispy Kreme (http://www.krispykreme.com)
For those that can't be bothered, on June 3, 2005, KK is giving customers a free doughnut of their choice. The KK homepage makes it sound like you just have to walk in and ask and you're rewarded with your choice of dense sugary goodness.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming, already in progress.

If only the nearest Krispy Kreme store was closer than three hours...
Not available (Free donut) in Canada. What kind of public relations is this? :(

I've never paid for a Krispy Kreme.
I walk in. They hand me one. I walk out.

Well this would be handy if there was a KK within less then about an hour drive. I'm really suprised we don't have one in Kokomo, but when you have a place called "Dirty Dan's" that pumps out the most awesome doughnuts around, I guess they figured we don't need one.

Hey, Joe, I know the donut is so attractive it's easy to overlook certain details, but--
There's this little machine near the exit called a cash register. There's also a sign on the wall that shows how much you're expected to pay for one (1) donut.

when the sign is lit up outside "hot now" they give away free doughnuts everyday...all you have to do is ask
I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut...I don't need a receipt for the doughnut - I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, Don't even act like I didn't buy a doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... ***RIP Mitch Hedberg (1968 - 2005)***

Hmm, this is pretty sweet tho. [In both ways] I think our closest actual krispy kreme is like a half hour-ish away. I wonder if the gas stations that sell them will be giving them for free too...

they made a krispy kreme in oregon! here! muah! if i could, i would come around and deliver krispy kremes to all of u that don't have them but i've missed too much school cuz of robotics anyway. of course, our krispy kreme is located in a retarded place...right across from 24 hour fitness....in the summertime, you come out of the gym and smell krispy kremes and resist the urge to buy a whole box and eat them yourself because it would defeat the purpose of going to the gym...in other news, i think we should build a robot to make krispy kremes!!! yay!!!

..right across from 24 hour fitness...I find that super ironic. Eat a KK, and work it off across the streat.
I got mine today in Richmond.
