haha this is weird, but anyways, dont ask us stupid questions. No affence, like wheres the main playing field, or wheres the b-room. Trust me, on me it doesn't work. Just come up and say your name, and dont stop talking. I think you all know that not talking kills it period. Too bad I have a gf, but you can still try and pick me up. haha. I'm the one with the hat!!

the worst: (which means you should nevver do) - have your friend come up beacause your too shy to, we're not going to bite your head off, we are actually quite nice...and please if u stare at someone cuz u think they're cute or whatever and you get caught in the act by the guy...dont be shady and look away real quick....just look because chances are if hes lookin at you he thinks your cute...:)
the best: (please do) just come up be natural and talk ( i like to talk...personally)...i like it when girls talk and have personality...so BE NATURAL.... :)
Wow, what a rare thing that happens, a girl approaching a guy...
Just aproaching a guy and making a move is enough to impress most guys.
The same thing goes for guys as well as girls...you make small talk, assume nothing about the person until you know for sure, and just be nice...

I'd like to say I'm the shy type of guy (I know several people who wouldn't believe that). Anyway I meet my current girlfriend through a simple process. Her friend just asked me for my phone number, afterwards she passed it to her friend (my gf) and that's how we met...now that ain't so hard is it?
purplehaze357

ewww....friend to friend to friend....thats sooo....*yuk*
the girl needs to just go for the person she likes ....no friends involved :p

I think the rule of thumb is that if you're a girl, and you ask a guy, he will say yes.
Now that is not always true...But it holds up most of the time.
purplehaze357
21-04-2002, 23:38
showing that kind of intiative is key...its kinda cute when a girl trys to pick you up....its a GOOD THING..and should happen more often
Why does the guy always have to make the first move? (i like doing it but y is it assumed the guy should make the first move)
Harrison
21-04-2002, 23:41
I hate doing it.
If the 'asking out' came down to the girls we would all be better off.

I just have to say if it isn't easy for the guys to get the girl maybe they feel the same way about us

When I first start talking to a girl that I don't know I will proabably do and/or say some really dumb things, but once I get comfortable I'm allright, I may seem shy at first but after I get to know you I'll never shut up. As for girls coming up to guys, just do it, chances are we're thinking about doing the same thing but we are just stalling.

I think the most important thing is to be yourself, don't lead him, or anyone, down a false road, that's cruel, and a waste of time.
And don't be afraid to take the intiative! Some of us guys, myself included, and quite timid:eek: when it comes to these things, but when SHE makes the first move, than its much easier, and breaks tension wonderfully.
To show that you have the guts to ask a guy, rather the other way around, is very impressive. Don't underestimate the power of the message this demostrates, which is one of both independence, and of..err..kindness?
It may not sound major, but this makes a big impression, and if your interested, go for it. He's probably trying to get the courage to ask you.
NOTE TO ALL:
Being nervous means you care. Caring is good, it means you hope the outcome will be postive. Being nervous is a good thing!
Hopefully that wasn't too sentimental.

As far as being approached by girls the wierdest thing that ever happened to me was when a girl let out a huge belch to get my attention, no joke. The friend thing is pretty popular too.
Anyway as far as picking up guys I hate it when girls send their friends over to tell you that some girl likes you. I personally admire girls that have the "balls" to come talk to me. It doesn't have to be a direct come-on but more of a hey my name is ___ and then just start talkin to the guy, sometimes the direct come on works too. From here I wouldn't suggest making the first move, if the guy is interested he will, well I would anyway.
By the way it does make a differnce whether the person is a frosh in HS or a senior in college. It may not make a difference personally but it definitly does legally.

Age matters a bit.
I'd want someone my age, within a year or 2. Otherwise, I don't think it would work out too well (Celine Dion is esceptional, rather than rule)
I'd be more worried about emotions more tha anything else, I wouldnt want to be in a relationship in which we would'nt see eye-to-eye, a common problem with an experiance gap.

Hey, I wasnt saying anything! But she managed to have a sucessful relationship with..uh...someoner her..uhh...senior..ahem...
Besides, she's from Quebec, now - is that truly a part of Canada? When I was there, they seemed to be pretending to be a part of France:rolleyes:

Quebec is wierd...Always remember that. They like getting all the things that they get from the Federal Government, but they don't want to admit that they need Canada...Which they do.
Also, it depends on where in Quebec you are...Places like montreal are mostly english and canadian....Further north you get less and less english and less and less Canadian...
As for CD's hubby...He could be her father...lol
Picture them in bed and he says 'Celine, I am your father'...Actually don't picture that...It's disgusting.
And I gotta say that ANYONE sounds better ;)

To go to the age thing... it really does matter. Trust me, I've been there. My really big problem seems to be I look and/or act like I'm a lot older than I am, which has me mistaken for a 20year old all the time. And dating a 20year old is not all it's cracked up to be. Age does make a huge difference when you're in hs.. I mean not so much when you're like 30 or whatever, but now it does really change things. Interests and maturity levels, and other stuff is different, people say age doesnt matter, but once you experience age difference in a relationship, you see that it really does. Anywayz, that's just my piece.

Canadians aren't wierd...People from Quebec (who are technically Canadian tho) are quite wierd.
And most Canadians are proud to be Canadians, but they don't like 'Canadian Harrison' for example...It just doesn't fit....It's like being canadian makes u different.
Here is the jist of the differences between Canada and the USA (real differences...not like colour and color crap).
NONE!
The US and Canada are virtually identical.

We were only joking around with their team cause the boys were cute...they started calling us 'American Melissa or Grace or Miranda' We really like Canada though I swear, at least the guys there (you included Harrison)
The only difference I know of is the 'french' or 'english' schools and the healthcare at least that is what Chris told me...
Harrison
28-04-2002, 19:51
YAY ME! lol
Yes we do have french and english schools (thanks to Quebec)...
And yea we have the healthcare, and because of that (partly) we pay like 5 times as much tax as americans...The joy of a socialist government....NOT...
Hey! We may pay a ton more taxes(pay checks and everything else show that!) but free health care has it's bonuses, I mean, think about all the things you'd have to pay for w/o it... I mean, I wouldn't go into the docs for all my sprains etc. if I had to pay all the time, forget it, I'd live thru it!
And Yearbook, you guys may like Canadian guys... but I mean, American guys have their up sides... I can think of a few off the top of my head. I think it's the whole they're from somewhere else thing, and the whole wanting what you can't have... you guilty of that too?? hehe.
Anywayz, there are some differences between Canada and the us, not big ones, but they're there and they're important to us. I mean, I don't like the theorm that Canada is a little US(as the Simpsons put it *sigh*) I think we're two different places and the similarities only come into play because we're so close in location, I mean, doesnt the same thing happen in Europe?
Ok! I've said my piece and made this way too long. Sorry guys!

Ok...Here's the list of does + don'ts. Remembr that all guys, just like gals;) are different, and the these rules may not apply to all of us (just like the holding doors open thing)
Do:
1. Be playful, if he’s playing along (not seriously believing) and its your style
2. Be yourself
3. Ask HIM out *this makes a BIG impression, (along the lines of "I will marry this woman":D )
4. Become friends first, or at least get to know the guy
5. If you like him, offer a phone number of AIM name
6. Talk about subjects you both like, or are interested in
7. Strike up a conversation to get acquainted
8. Humor and forthrightness is good, but if he's shy, tone it down,
9. Did I mention forthrightness: you want to ask him out: SAY SO, sometimes we can't take hints:(
10. Be kind, courteous, and sweet in personality, and you'll do fine
Don’t:
1. Be a tease if he's believing you (rare, but it happens, not to me though;) )
2. Play any cruel jokes on him
3. Force him to dance if he really hates it (I know this from experience: I only dance if I drop something heavy on my foot, or if I’m at the beach and the sand is very hot)
4. Be…unethical (ahem…ill leave it to the imagination), not good for anyone, isn’t a way to meet Mr. Right, or a real friend, only a way to get in trouble
5. Take his phone number, AIM, whatever, and not get back to him (this is for BOTH sides)
6. Lead him on if you already have a boyfriend
7. Talk about how your 100% for the Women’s Independence movement, throwing off the male oppressors: that makes us afraid
8. BE SHY!! We care! (well, I do at least)
Hope this all helps you all out, I've got a question for all you ladies out there, too. Check the massive thread, you can't miss it!
:D
Harrison
03-05-2002, 15:51

No offense, but stop posting here with irrelevent stuff, and let THEM(gals) ask US(guys) questions:D Not much of a complementary thread for the other 250 reply one if girls don't ask guys questions.:(, or if we don't provide advice. I think they've been quite generous in listening, and providing tips. I suggest we guys to the same:D
Act as if your grandmother was NOT watching ;) :D

I know guys are really dumb and can't take a hint at all(believe me!!!!) but is there something that I can do that you will actually get???

Hmm...well, you could always strike up a conversation, and let it develop from that. The direct approach is good though, because it shows you're interested, and that you care.
Girls are at perhaps a distinct advantage, in that a direct approach is both uncommon, and impressive. Girls can use direct or unique approaches without embarrassment, since a failed attempt can be considered cute, and intentional.
Just go for it. Personally, just show that you have a charming personality, and then go for it. Finding someone special is an important part of life. Without one, (or at least, the hope of one in my case) I don't know how people survive!
Take the chance. Believe me, he's probably thinking the same thing, and is probably just as shy as you are. Guys may pretend to be macho, but really, a lot of us (well, at least me) are kittens hiding under the laundry when it comes to initiating a romance. And if she has a boyfriend or whatever, he’ll probably just let it drop, and talk about something else entirely.
This reminds me: I'm a post-a-holic, without an avatar or a photo! What do you gals think would b e a better avatar, a picture of an oak tree in a stained glass window, a picture of a meadow in twilight, or a picture of a hillside?
I'm kinda leaning towards the oak tree at this point: its a really neat picture, and I like nature stuff, such as long walks in the country, watching the sun setting, gazing up at a full moon, listening the waves lap against the seashore...
Uh, where was I?:D
Melissa Nute
03-05-2002, 20:04
How about a photo of yourself...I like to know who I'm talking to....but the oak tree would be fine...
Bleh...I have like no confindence is asking guys out on dates...i've been turned down too many times... oh well...at least i try again with another guy after i regain it....
i agree with ben ... except that whole 'if he has a boyfriend' thing :) j/k! thought i'd poke a little fun at that typo, oh well :)
but yeah, me personally, you come up and talk to me and flirt with me, then i'll prolly get the hint. i say that now that it's never happened, i wonder what i'll say if it ever does, though :)
basically, direct approach = great, and shy but flirting = good
well, ladies, it looks like you can't go wrong :D

k, what I'm saying is.. I'm a HUGE flirt, like, I wear a chain that my best friend gave me with it written on it, it's my nick name, etc.... Well, anywayz, there was this whole thing with this one guy, and I majorly flirted around with him at his house one nite... I was so obvious about it, etc.. and then I mean, I kinda left it to him to make the next move I mean, how obvious do i have to be b4 a guy finally does something. I personally figure that after a while, I leave it in their hands, it's not fair that I have to do all the hard stuff, ya know?

i don't know, ann. for me, it's like 'maybe she wasn't flirting, maybe she was being nice.' i mean, us guys (or me at least) are taking a risk in going for it, it's not easy. that said, though, i'm at the point where i'm gonna go for it. if a girl starts flirting with me, i'm gonna ask her on a date or something, and if i was wrong, oh well. but then, that's just cause i've never had a girl yet, and i'm tired of being shy.
Stephen
Aww Steve..... if we've changed one guy that's awesome.....
Melissa, as for the head on shoulder thing... hunn, we were on the couch, I was lying, with my head on his chest, we were kinda entangled.. how much more obvious do i have to get???ahhh! guys are so dumb sometimes!

Wow, talk about bored, I just read all 8 pages of this subject.
ANYWAY!!!
I would say something girls often don't do is go up to guys.
I know! I know! it's traditional for guys to do it but in our society today we are becoming more and more contemporary.
But yeah, I can't always just walk up and be like..."HEEY" to a girl, it just doesn't work like that for me. And then if you like your friend...that's a whole other discussion....
So yeah, I get stuck often!
I'll go up to the guy.. I'll start the conversation... I often do... but when it comes down to it, that's my part, then i flirt and wait.... and most of the time hope, that the guy can take a hint!! *sigh*

meh.. i do my part.. what bothers me, is when the guy will flirt around too.. but then do nothing about it.. so we're stuck flirting around for weeks(months now i think) and I'm waiting for them to do something.. and eventually I either loose interest cause I'm so fed up, or just flirt when I see em but give up actively working on it until they do something!! ugh.. guys....

Ok....I go see a movie (a crappy one at that) and look at how much reading I have to do...
Ann-Marie...You flirt so much it's frightening...But also because of this no one knows how you ACTUALLY FEEL. If you flirt with everyone, then it becomes nothing special....and while I'm here is there something goin on between you and Mike?
Also, when it comes to guys taking hints...Always remember this: If it is subtle, we simple cannot see it (or we are too scared to act on it). If you like us, then just flat out say it.
The whole kissing thing: When you kiss a guy (regardless of how dumb he is) he gets that you like him. Then how he reacts to that knowledge is anyones guess.
Also, just for the record, the difference between 'flirting' and 'friendly' is non-existance. When you're saying it you might think that you act differently or something....But unless the guy has known you for years, the average person will have no idea what your intentions are (I think this goes both ways for both sexes).
Melissa Nute
03-05-2002, 22:44
I have to agree with ya A-M, guys can be so dense...yet they won't admit that they are....
DaveyPotter144
03-05-2002, 22:47
You tell'em Harrison!
dense...there it is again.
We can't see the obvious...it's the truth
Yes, I am a huge flirt.. I admit... but I flirt even more with the guys I like.... if you knew that i liked someone and saw me flirt with them as opposed to someone else, there is a dif. trust me, my friends have proven this...
Next, there is NOTHING going on between Mike and I, we're friends, like really good friends but not anything more. If you think that whole thing b4 was about Mike it SO was not.. it was about someone else, who you may know.. i dont know, but it doesnt matter....
*sigh*

It's not a matter of being dense, its just a matter of girls being WAY more subtle than they actually think they are.
You say something that you think is a big flirt, but in reality its not.
Reversely, you say something that isn't meant to be flirty, but we take it as tho it is a flirt.

But I have soem serious questions..........
Why do guys flirt back with a girl and lead her on and all then they like just forget about her and ignore her? WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM!?
Guys say they can't understtand girls but ahlf of hte timewe cant udnerstand you guys either......I mean you say one thing but you mean something totally diffrent and then when you finally get your point across you end up hurting the girl.......why do you do this?

Well....
To your questions SPAMcutie
I think that sometimes we guys like to just flirt whether or not we want the girl. I know I'm probably guilty of it cause I know I flirt a little more than I should. Most conversations I have with other girls are flirty, even though I don't always have any intentions pursueing it.
And as for the other one...I don't really know why we say one thing and do another...that's part of the guy stereotype..hehe
Harrison
03-05-2002, 23:10
AHHH, The pressure!
First off, why do guys lead girls on:
In all honesty, some guy's are asses, no two ways about that. Most times tho, I think it is an innocent mistake - the guy takes a flirt as friendly, and returns with (what he thinks is) friendly...The girl takes it as a flirt....People get hurt.
...and I think that might of answered both your questions?

Is inter-team dating allowed?
Flirting is like a sport... depending on how good you are at it affects if you're going to score... but.. on the other hand.. if you just mess around and play with the puck.. then its all fun and no seriousness... but its all just one big game...

Yeah, harrison just nailed it...
I'm shocked you would consider ME dense: I actually consider myself very sensitive to the feelings of others, the the point that I hold doors open for ladies, offer to carry stuff if their arms are full, and not curse in their presence.(well, i do that anyway)
So some guys may be dense, but not me:D (just wanted to get that message out there:D ;)
As for flirting and counter flirting (?)(you know what I mean)
basically what harrison said, some things are quite subtle, and may not be construed as flirting. Esp. if you know the person, or kinda joke around a lot by nature.
Like my avatar? An oak tree design in a stained glass window: both powerful and peaceful. As for a photo, I have yet to get a picture of myself that does'nt look like a screenshot from Shrek (j/k, i don't look like that:eek: )

I mean he is great as a friend but i dont think he would be someone i would ever date...and besides right now i am not really ready to date again my ex kinda dumped me in a way that kinda upset me....

First Question: You would'nt be a jerk at all. I think that would be a kind and sweet thing to do. He does'nt have anyone else to go with, right?
Second Question: I can't answer that either, since I've never done that. Maybe, if they tell you via a friend, they are too embarressed or..cowardly(?) to tell yuo themselves. Thye may also be acting, maybe on your behalf, thinking that by having a friend tell you, it would hurt less. Or he could be a real jerk.
Those are the only reasons I can think of right now.

so my second question is why do SOME guys dump girls in not so desirable ways like through one of the girls friends or something and yes I do realize that girls sometimes do that to but i couldnt explain that either thanks :) sory for rambling on like that when i talk i tend to do that
first: its mad cool that your going as just friends...im going to my junior prom with my best-friend (who is a girl), now granted we used to have feelings for each other we are still going as just friends...so its cool that u dont like him more than a friend...
second: this is a weird subject cuz it is SOME guys, i know i have never dumped somebody like that and i never would..its just gay to dump someone through a friend like that....hes obviously a coward...i cant stand when people do that...and girls do it all the time....its happened to me countless times so i know the feeling...i get over those things easy though because i realize there are many more girls out there...so yeah hes to ashamed to talk to you about it...and he shouldnt be...but go find urself a new guy.... :p

At least, if he's doing it via a friend, maybe he's trying to do it in a way that is'nt (at least in his mind) hurtul. Maybe he figures if someeon you know well tells you, they can comfort you more than he can.
If he's doing it out of meaness, i feel no pity. But if he's trying to be kind, in a shy, embarressed (kinda cowardly) way, i can at least give him some points for trying. Not many, though.

Personally, I think that it is GREAT that guys and girls can be friends...Good friends at that. I think there should be more inter-sex relationships where the people are just friends.
...As for breaking up thru other people...All I can say is that it is cowardly...No way to really explain it, but you all know.

Hmmm...
Try just flirting a bit, and tabling the issue for now, just slowly drop the subject. Also, if neither of the twins asked you, well, that solves that. As for the friend...I'd quietly drop him too, without hurting his feelings or anything, Just act unavailible, and ease down on anything that would make him thing you were very interested.
Any chance you could find a fourth person to go out with? That would kinda solve things, for a little while, at least. Hmmm...this is quite a situation.
Otherwise, I think you are right in your decision not to damage their friendships. That was a very respondsible thing to do.
Good luck, and btw, when do you leave for BASIC?

hmmm, well ill get the sillyness outa the way...
They're twins...ask them both ;)
Alrhight, seriously...
I guess first of all you would have to decide which one you like more...Since they're twins im guessing they look the same, but they prolly act a bit differently from each other...
After you would know which one, I guess you would probably want to gradually see him seperate from his bro...Invite him over after school, but not his bro, that sorta thing...
Then you'd prolly want to ask him out...But somehow I would try to make sure the bro ur NOT asking out knows whats going on...Make sure he doesnt feel completely left out...Still be friends, etc..
I think about the bro's not getting along, I figure they are probably mature enough to be able to hand one of them having a g/f, and the other one not.

Dealing with the brother's thing is hard, and I know this is my first post here, but I can be good at this when I try, so give me a chance. I've had friends in that situation.
You have to realize that brothers, especially twins, share a deep bond, even if they don't act it. I hate to say it, but there is no way to go about this without hurting one of their feelings, especially if they both like you. As for my advice, you should try to figure out which one you like more, and be honest with the both of them.
Now, as for the original question, girls, you have to be perfectly honest with us. I've had girls run me in circles, and the effects are still lingering. Just come up to us and be yourselves. Most girls are charming enough in their own right that they won't need pickup lines and so forth. I try to do the same when I talk to women.
Hope that's somewhat helpful.

hmm ... I might have some expertice in this area since I'm a twin :) Seriosly, like picking up girls, i guess it just depends. personally, i might feel a little bummed out my brother got the girl and not me, but that's not going to get in the way of our relationship. we may be petty about it for the short term (we are brothers afterall :)), but we'll forget after a while.

I've read through the comments and those plus my own conclusions..
Why does there have to be an asking? Just let it happen. If something doesn't come from it there isn't disappointment in close friends. If you let yourself get close but not attached until you both decide 'why not' then that's the best.

I don't think that one should just let everything happen to themself, but being overly forceful with attraction is definetly not a good thing. If you're interested, express it, but know your, and the other person's, boundaries.
In my experience, having a lot of very good friends is more valuable than having a volatile relationship with a single person. But I can't say I have the best track record...

The irony can be painful...
So many ppl that I like, don't all like me.......and then a lot of ppl that I don't like, like me... *shakes fist at world*
But, on the brighter side, the majority of people that I like, also like me...and the majority of ppl that I don't like, also don't like me.

the thing i am wondering now is... odes everything has two "sides" and only two sides. one thing coudl be a advantage coudl be a disadvantage.... but then the perspective of that judgment changed from one view to another.... so that is why irnoy existed.
i think elements exist in pairs...short and tall, if there was not such despcription of tall how could you describe tall. tall thereofre is defined as the absence of short.
as for people.. it depends what perspective you are judging in. its a mysteru i haven't solved yet.... or its not meant to be solved.... sometimes i tend to blame myself when people dont like me...

Why is there the need to wear your pants so low???
My brother and his friends wear their pants like that. They even wear belts to keep their pants "up" like that, so they don't fall down! If you have a belt, why not fasten it around your waist so your pants will be where they are supposed to be? I just don't get it.

i wonder about the same thing..... its kinda redundancy of wearing belts.... doesn't it bother you when you have to occasionally pull up your pants?! and doesn't your pants effect your walking??
Well... it's currently the guy trend to wear their pants low... kind of like girls (but different LOL)
It's the guys who's pants are at their knees and have to waddle so that their pants aren't at their ANKLES that make me want to give them $40 and be like "GO BUY A PAIR OF PANTS THAT FIT"

What blows my mind is that most guys who partake in this incredibly DISGUSTING fashion trend DO wear belts, but they are on the last hole! It's beyond belief...belts are made to hold your pants UP, not for show. Yesterday I went to the hospital to get a CAT scan. I stopped in the vending machine room afterwards and there was a guy in there, loose baggy pants, belt....but he tried the "in" look, with them hanging....it doesn't work when you don't wear boxers or briefs...EWWW!! Needless to sya, I'm GLAD they didn't fall down....omg...
And as for the girl's pants getting tighter...I can't say I complain alot about that, but sometimes it goes a little too far. Yeah, form fitting is wonderful; it makes the ladies more attractive, but when they are squeezing the girls hips to the point of being skin-tight? That's a little too much. The only thing in that area I think still looks attractive are those black spandexy jeans. I always thought they looked really...sexy, for lack of a better term.

As for the whole fashion thing:
Guys + wearing pants low = very bad and disgusting
I like baggy clothes but I actually try to wear all my pants on my waist. Waist=good - Showing off underwear=bad!
As for the girls with the skin tight pants, as long as you can fit a cell phone in the pockets without actually breaking the phone or your pants or leaving a permanent mark in your side, then it should be fine!
Oh and utishpenguin, as for mens pants getting tighter, we've been there and done that and learned. Ever watch old 70's tv shows or movies?? Yeah... not good looking and must've been uncomfortable as well.
Then again what do I know, I grew up in the 80's and 90's with ripped jeans, and a check mark on all my clothes (nike)!

Precisely.
*shudders* I wear normal pants with a belt to hold them up.
Of course, the whole "baggy pants" thing comes from prisons: look at the whole rapper gansta crowd on TV:
The ill fitting baggy pants and shirts come from the fact the prison uniforms are ill-fitting.
Do-Rags (the things that look like hankerchiefs wrapped around people's heads underneath hats) come from the prison rule that inmates are not allowed to wear hats.
The pants droop because inmates are not allowed to wear belts. (for obvious reasons - belts can be used as a weapon)
So all that stuff comes from "prison fashion."
As far as girls super-tight clothing goes: In the 1800's, women wore super-tight girdles around thier midriffs, so they would stick out...errr...how can I say this delicately... "up there" and "down there..."
When this was done to young girls, they often developed severe problems with internal organs, and had skeletal problems as well.
I think how uncomfortable it must be to have your insides pressed into so small jeans - (of course, for guy it IS a little different, as far as tight pants go...youch!)
I would never look down on a girl wearing a T-shirt and jeans - they are the universal clothing: always comfortable, always in style, and always fit in.
I'll be wearing a T-shirt and normal jeans at Annapolis and Houston - Come, let us celebrate the T-shirt and Jeans combo together! :p

haha i saw this ghetto version of romeo and juliet and the guys in there were all wearing tights.. i mean, it doesn['t have to be THAT extreme.... actually the best type of pants is what a call "carrot pants". they are "normal" at the waist and the actual pants narrow down till your ankle... its nice and comfortable, cuz its not that tight around the thigh.... and what is the deal with bleaching random parts of pants?! it just makes them older than usual... i mean they WILL be that bleached color soon enough.... this bleaching thing makes pants get older faster... especially when they purposely bleach the butt area.... leggings fine... butt is a nono....*shakes head* ugh people these days... its just distubing...

What made me really shack my head was walking into the local American Eagle store, and seeing jeans for 30 bucks.
The kicker? They were made to look worn, and had a tear in the knee - a little patch torn out. The same place on every one.
Wow - and I buy new jeans when mine get ripped...never thought of saving myself the trouble and buying pre-ripped jeans for extra money.

Dude why are you in american Eagle then go to Old navy and buy some painter pant/jeans they are awsome.. I wear the heck out of mine and they are darned comfortable.. reasonable price too
hey I'd just like the chance to say, guys are not the only one wearing their pants low now adays.. ( I don't sag much at all but just saying ) here in south florida ever go to a club, you'll see a ton of girls with extremely low pants.. and yes you can see their undergarments, yes it mayb the $@#$@#$@#$@# capital of the world, or something, but none the less its not all on the guys lol girls do it also
American Eagle? Old Navy? Wha? Never been in those stores. I bought my pants at JC Penney. Never spent more than $20 on a pair of pants. Ever. My pants used to stay up...then I lost some weight. Now they need help staying up. I don't wear belts because they bother me...but I keep them up.
I've noticed lately that a lot of girls are wearing belts that don't even go through the belt loops. Heh.
Fashion is lame...be original...or at least don't be like everyone else.

Did I say I bought anything in the bloody store?
No. I was IN the store. My friend was buying things. Consumers are allowed to enter stores without buying things, you know.
I thought it was a very telling to see faded, ripped jeans being SOLD for more money: fashion is weird.
I usually buy things in sets of 3 or 4 - I have multiple copies of every article of clothing I own - go figure. I also don't spend over a certain $$$ value on clothing. It's just not that important to me.
And wow, we are off topic. :D
whats wrong with skin tight low riding pants on hot girls? dont all you guys think it looks $@#$@#$@#$@# fine?
Maybe it's just me but....don't guys usually think a girl is "pushy" if she's just blunt? For me, I always end up with male friends then a boyfriend so...maybe I need some lessons. Any single guys willing to teach?? LOL
Well.. I personally think that it's better to become friends with someone first, before they become your boyfriend. But then the after relationship difficulties come into the picture... often people are scared to go out, break up and not be friends anymore.

well, i have to admit, i'm one of those girls you will never think is *deleted* fine, nkrumm... i don't do the skin-tight, well, anything, and definately don't do the low-riding pants. I don't have the figure for it, not by any stretch of the imagination, and even if i did, i don't have the confidence in my figure to try it. i'd probably scar people for life. if i ever did wear spandex (ew! evil freshman year colorguard uniform!) pants, i'd be one of those people who'd wear a shirt to my knees with it. yes, being a child of the 80s, i did do that for a while...
ok, girls belts can be a fashion statement, with a dress or something. if needed to hold up the pants, on either gender, it should be employed for that purpose. i don't have fashion statement belts, though i do want some. they only work if the pants fit properly, though.
yes, buying pre-ripped jeans is definately wierd! i don't get it at all. i get new pants when mine rip, but maybe i'm just uncool like that...
if i see a guy with his pants hanging around his knees, and his boxers/briefs showing, my response is ew. if (from what i understand) a guy sees a girl in the same style of dress, he is more likely to, shall we say, study the sight? therefore, it is my opinion that when dressing for something (like school) where the guys need to concentrate, one shouldn't dress to be a distraction, it's not fair of us. that doesn't mean dress like a frump, it just means don't show off everything you have (or don't have - which is worse [I have major issue with this - things that make girls look bigger, make guys look more muscular - if you want to look bigger/more muscular work out or something, don't pad your clothing, that's just ewie!]).

reading minds is highly possible.. with the possible background... for ex you know this person very well.... part of it can be just logic... but then there is always the unpredictable.

random tidbit:
in the sac regional, we had a fashion show that we filmed to show the team shirts of some of the teams :D
It was quite fun

Well, 2 or 3 is about how many of us are on my team total ::laughs:: (actually, there's four of us...)
But sometimes, if I get annoying or do something stupid like my cable tie/zip tie incident, my team kicks me out of the pit for a while to do scouting, so usually, I'm on my own :D :p
But seriously, just walk up and start talking...works most of the time ;)

Off topic: We usually have to scout by ourselves...there's too little of us on our team so we have to split up... :( some stay in the pit, others wander the pits aimlessly trying to figure out where all the teams are:eek:
