Out of curiousity, who hasn't found the game to be addicting instantly?

I wasn't. The only thing I was ever addicted to was the PacMan esque mini game in Jak III and that was only because I wanted to get farther (I really stink at mini games) to beat the game.

Galaca was the only old game that I had any skill in. I could make it well into the game on one credit.
That snake game was pretty good too. The one with the rollerball.

Pac- Man was good back in the day. I just am more addicted to the newer next gen games with graphics that make you want to cry out in joy they look so real. Any game that has those few seconds of fun and excitement can become addicting. Pacman's is running from ghosts and barely escaping them and eatiing them up while you have the power-up. Others like Halo well flanking a bunch a covenent before they are aware and can get back up. Blowing up a ghost in mid air sticking a grunt in the back before he is aware. It is all about giving the gamers their few moments of fun that you can stretch out into an entire game that is incredibly addicting.
