That's low Dave, locking the entire team in the crate just so you can have all the KKs!

Due to the lack of fundraising initiative, 116 was forced to travel by way of FedEx instead of United Airlines.

At least 1 dozen clowns in a circus VW has nothing on 17 clowning nerds in a crate, particularly if one of them is Heidi and they are all on Dave's team!

According to the 2006 game manual, the pit crew must be shipped in a crate at the same time as the crate that contains the usual robot and batteries.

Thats wierd... Why does team 116 have two boxes sitting in their pit area?

Team 116 demonstrates a new idea on keeping students involved. It might have worked but for one problem. Although the test failed it did spawn team rule #101, use of personal hygene products is encouraged for all team building events.

February 14, 2005 (one week before shipping deadline):

Team 116 Captain “Dave, Dave,…. What, what are we going to do?!
It is hopeless….
More than half the team is out sick…..
The transmission is not completed, autonomous mode is unfinished and the arm is only half done.
We are never going to make the ship date.”

Dave: “Hmmm…..
I hate to do this but I have no choice.
We have to breakout the BACKUP-Team 116.
Let's uncrate them now……”

(Entry inspired by a scene from the “Match of the Wooden Soldiers" with Laurel & Hardy)

Dave on one of his better days (his morning medication only lets him simultaneously express four of his multiple personalities - Snoop Dogg wannabe, slack-jawed yokel, high school freshman AIM addict, and NASA engineer):

"Y'all (http://http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showpost.php?p=369308&postcount=3) better dig out the wax from ur ears, yo - i didn't know my 'Think outside the bizzox' speech wood be so hard for u geniouses to comprehendizzle! Dave: Oh yeah... I designed something very cool and it is SOOOO simple.

::Audience waiting::

Dave: Finally I present to you our "the locked up" students. Yup, 17 of them can fit in there at once, very easy to ship it anywhere in the world. I gotta check back on chiefdelphi, there was some team who needed more team members.

The Herndon High School upper level math class demonstration to support their argument that 34 feet is a unit of volume rather than length didn't work; although the teacher gave them an "A" for effort, they still got an "F" for technical ability and had to repeat the class.

Clown College Curriculum:

Clowns In a Car 101: Practical lessons on how to execute the classic “too many clowns in too small a car” gag. Lectures will cover topics such as "What NOT To Eat The Night Before," "The Atkins Diet Has Nothing On Us!," "Pack ‘Em In ‘Till They Scream Like 4-Year-Old Girls," "Stuffing Bozo Into A Tear in the Time-Space Continuum," "Teaching Chuckles To Breathe IN." Lab sessions will feature practice sessions fitting the entire class into successively smaller spaces, starting with large bathrooms, working through packing crates, phone booths, to Cooper Minis. The practical final exam will be an attempt to fit the entire class into a shoe box.

[Although its obivious I'll put it here anyways... NOT AN ENTRY]
Ashley if you want to change your entry it is 17 people (one of which is Heidi Foster) crammed in a robot crate. [/not entry]

When it became apparent that Billfred was going to A. assign Heidi -infinity points, or allow Travis to win the final caption contest just to get on Heidi's nerves, MissInformation decided to do something about it. She gathered 16 other members of 116 and they all climbed into the former robot crate which was then boarded up and shipped to Billfreezyfosheezzywithaglassoflemoneezy Industries. Heidi thought that they would arrive inconspiciously, and Billfred would carry the box into his house, at which point they would sneak out and change the caption contest scores and irreversibly alter Billfred's mind. They're still in the box waiting outside his house becuase they forgot to take into account the fact that Billfred is in Maine.

Some of the numbers may have shifted over--sorry!

I should probably tip my hat to a few folks at this point. All awards should be construed as the level of paper plate awards, paper plate not included. Void where prohibited and all that.

Year 1 Champion: Heidi Foster
Year 1 Runner-Up: Travis Hoffman
Most Wins: Travis Hoffman (7)
Most Seconds: Gary Dillard (8)
Most Burn Awards: Heidi Foster and Travis Hoffman (5 each)
Fewest Singles in the Top 10: Gary Dillard (2 out of 45 entries)
Funniest Team: NASA Headquarters/SAIC & Herndon High School, better known as 116. (Of the 2,662 points awarded this year, they scored 399, 15% of the total.)

Onward....to year two!
