Anyone else notice the fact that only people who are current/former/future 229ers have posted in this thread?

(and I've continued the trend...)

Wish I could go to the competition. Sounds exciting!

Latest Update:
We have a website!!
http://www.firstrochester.org/Ruckus/index.htm

Its still in progress for the volunteers page and the halloween party page, but registration is now open! 24 local teams will be sent invites, but any team may register to get on the list.

And we will DEFINITELY be in need of volunteers (free shirts and food!!) I will post when that part of the site is ready.

#1213 is looking forward to Rah Cha Cha. We caught a break in that there's no school at Groves on Friday the 28th. Looks like we may have a complete drive team make the trip to NY.

Hope we end up with more teams than the ten listed so far. Sixteen would be a good number. OTOH, few teams means more matches, which is fine with us. We had ten teams at Novi-Expo and went 2 on 2 instead of 3 on 3 most of the time. We liked that format - scores were still high because there was more room to move.

Hmm.. are you really doing robot inspections at the Rukus??

That's a first I think for a mini comp.. that I know of anyways...

Cool cool...

I wish I could go.. that would be a cool way to spend my birthday (October 30th - Shop early & Shop Big!! :p ) ..

Of course, I would have to take a side trip and get a free Garbage Plate at Nick Tahou's for said b-day... or somewhere as equally good.. I hear they are the "must eat" meal to have while in Rochester.

and if you were looking for more reasons to convince your team of coming a garbage plate is definitely one of them
