Firefox v1.5 Beta (Deer Park) is now out! You can download it here (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/) but due note its subject to bugs since it isn't final yet.

I have to say its pretty cool and has a couple editions now that make it even more so now than ever the greatest Browser known to man.

Several Things I've noticed/Preview of whats to come
-faster browsing, particularly the back and forward buttons
-Answers.com is now standard in the search box
-Report bugs is improved
-New report Broken Web sites for web sites that don't work in Firefox. I think this is gonna be Key to firefox's growth. Its a really great idea, props to them.
-Better Pop up Control. Yay!

What I am told is in this but I've yet to access/use completely
-Support for Windows-Eyes. Windows eyes is a client that lets blind users use a braile display to read content. I think this is really cool, now our Visually impared friends can read CD.
-Accessible DHTML tool
-Better MacOS support, go ahead MacHeads have your fun.

Well anyway go ahead and give it a shot if your adventerous. If not, download the final when it comes out soon.

Just a caution: It's just a beta.

Because it uses a radically different method for implementing extensions (things like java support, realplayer, etc), many extensions do not yet work with it. So sites that use a lot of multimedia probably won't work. And if you use any really specialized extensions, you might as well forget it.

So while its an overall improvement, it's going to take some time for the rest of the world to catch up. On top of that, it is a beta and bugs are expected. So I wouldn't download this and try to use it as your daily web browser. It's not quite ready for prime time, especially when 1.0.6 works so well.

But it is super nifty.

So, all I need to do is update it and all my extensions and all that will stay the same?

Your extensions from previous versions may not work if they are not compatible with the new version of the browser. If they don't work then just try to update the extensions to see if a new version of the extension is available.
