I received an interesting DVD in today's mail. I assume they are being mailed to all team leaders. Here's the text of the enclosed letter. The video is quite nice and we'll be using both the FIRST promo video and the Atlanta wrap video with the new students and their parents at our next meeting.

Dear 2005 FRC Teams,

Thanks to a very generous donation by long-time FIRST A/V vendor, Steve Sargent of Sargent Productions, this year we are thrilled to be able to provide each FRC team with the enclosed DVD video compilation.

The DVD includes the new FIRST Promo Video produced and contributed by Turner Studios, plus the following items to help you recruit team members, mentors, and sponsors by showing them what FIRST looks like:

2005 Game Animation
Kickoff Chassis Instruction video
Woodie Flowers & Dean Kamen's Regional Welcome
Championship Chairman's Award video
Championship Wrap video
Feel free to make dubs and share copies with friends, family, schoolmates, colleagues and potential sponsors, mentors, team members, and volunteers.

Yeah, I've been told that it came, I have to wait until it gets sent to my dorm though. Anyone watched it yet?

I look forward to watching the DVD. That is great that they are going to let us use it as well. Our team always makes a DVD compilation for every season. It's great to see FIRST doing the same. Although they have provided videos in the past if I am not mistaken.

Since FIRST says it's cool to make copies, can we get someone to make a DVD rip and post it online for those of us not near a team? Pretty please? :)

Did anyone by chance have a chance to rip their DVD and upload to a location where one can download it? We seem to have misplaced the dvd and first only has some of the files that were/are on it I believe.

If you have the file I would be willing to let someone upload it to my server for access from anyone.

Alright, since no one seems to have their copy of the FIRST promo DVD on-line and we finally found ours, I have copied the DVD files to my server and are located here http://www.mike-site.us/firstdocs/. Click on FIRST PROMO DVD or on the other things and there's the video and other FIRST info from the 2005 season.
