Hi, I'm a mentor for an FLL team and we've seemed to run into a software error where after we've installed the needed software, we're not able to run the program. Does anybody else have this problem and if you have a solution please reply. Thanx :)

What software are you downloading? If the computer is downloading firmware to the RCX, then you need to download all the programs again (usually happens after a battery change). Been there, done that, it's in the Constructopedia if I recall correctly.
If it's not that, I don't know what you can do, except try to get a new RCX (translate: spend big bucks).
