Dean Kamen in Target!!

Ok, I know this is lame, but I work at the Target in the Pheasant Lane Mall in NH, and on the 23rd none other than DEAN KAMEN came in near the food department! It was so very amazing.. I don't know what it is about Dean, but every time I see him I want to run up to him and thank him for enriching my life..

So did you? I have never regretted taking a moment to thank someone who has done something for me. Be it a parent, a friend, a mentor, a solder in uniform, or just a stranger that holds the door for you when your arms are full, everyone appreciates being appreciated. I get the feeling that Dean doesn't really like the spotlight but an honest "thank you for what you have done for me" is always welcome.

Remember part of FIRST's mission is to change american culture to the point where youths look up to engineers and scientists. I don't know about you but if I was Dean Kamen and I was just walking around town and someone came up to me and thanked me for FIRST I'd be blown away.

That's rather amusing, especially...

1.) ...with his comments in recent articles about what he thinks about while walking around malls/stores.
2.) ...because the Bedford Target is wayyyyy closer to WestWind than the Pheasant Lane Target. My new job has me taking 101 daily past the turnoff for McKelvie Middle School, and I was thrilled when I found out that the nearest Target is not too far away. They're really nice up here!
