windows sp2 question

if my computer has windows xp media center 2005 edition, do i need to install xp sp2? Requirements (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/sysreqs.mspx) on the site it says that it will upgrade media center to 2004, which i do not want to do, if i already have 2005 edition.

Windows Media Center was upgraded to meet the Service Pack 2 requirements by releasing Media Center 2004. Media Center 2005 already has sp2 installed/requirements met.
