As outlined in this year's game documents (http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2006/frcdocs.htm), there are two drivers, one coach, and one human player per team. All team members are allowed to handle balls, but only the human players can introduce balls back into play.

If I understand your question correct...you're wondering how many human players each team can have. The answer is 1. There can be 2 drivers, 1 HP, and one coach. The drivers and HP must be pre-college age. The coach can be either.

Any person of these four can handle balls in the driver's station, but only the HP's can enter balls onto the field. Hope this answers your question.

I also think its important to note this:
Only Pre-College Students can handle the balls!
So to handle the balls, your coach must also be a student.

This is not correct. I think you are confusing 2 different rules.

Definition: HUMAN PLAYER: A pre-college student team member designated as the only team member permitted to
enter balls onto the field

Definition: COACH: A student or adult mentor designated as the team advisor during the match and identified as the
person wearing a “COACH” pin or button.

<G37> Team Member Ball Handling - Any HUMAN PLAYER, DRIVER, or COACH may handle balls that are
in the ALLIANCE ZONE during a match.

Everyone on the field team of an alliance can handle balls regardless of age but the only person who can put them on the field is the designated human player.

in the interest of reducing confusing conversation, this thread will be closed

here is what we learned today class

1) There is only one designated human player allowed on the field at one time (as stated in the rules)
2) anyone in the player station including the coach can handle balls, only the human player can re-introduce them into the field
