Sprockets in Inventor...

Anyone know how accurate the sprocket creator in inventor is? I was using it and the sprockets that were produced didn’t seem very accurate. I was hoping to find out if someone has tried to machine parts from their assigned dimensions. We are looking to machine our own sprockets.

honestly if you arn't sure i would say to draw it from scrach yourself. There are also many places online that are known to have accurate drawings.

The path we have used is make the sprocket in mechanical desktop, scale it up by 25.4 and finish it up in inventor. In years past what you output from desktop is read buy inventor as metric no mater the units used in desktop. There is also a shareware tool for desktop that does all kinds of gears and sprockets, don't remember the details of that product, we did use it to make a rack that mated with the gear on previous window motors.
