How exactly is that ball being launched and approximately how many launches has that ball had? It looks like around 35% of the skin has been ripped off it.

I think we have fired it atleast 100 times.

it doesn't look as bad on the other side, but not by much.

umm, it's been shot maybe 100 times (plus or minus 10)

and its going too fast for the safety regulations

but by how much, we dont know

i am not allowed to discuss exactly how it gets launched, but it looks sorta like a baseball shooter

How ripped is your ball?

..About the same, or worse.

I think my team just got a few too many a bit too fast, or we just aren't shooting enough.... Either way even our really old balls dont look anywhere near as bad as any of these CD balls have.

Ours have stress cracks and such. Some skin is gone but overall we have not had that much damage to the original or the other balls.

Wowie, you guys did some damage to that ball! Our balls are largely untouched - I've used a few for practicing throwing and our shooters haven't torn them up in the least.

I wonder, would that be considered field damage? :D

All I know is that FIRST said not to expect the balls to be in "as new" condition...

DON'T FEED POOF BALLS TO DRAGONS!!!

Well that thing looks like a dragon chewed on it. Is that launcher first legal? The reason I say that is that, cant you get a penalty for ripping up a field element?

What can I say, our weapon is really hungry and at the moment our ball order has not come in yet so this one has been used quite a bit. I guess we have just been respecting our motto from last year, "Play hard or go home" :D

Our original ball is totally naked. Maybe we need more sqeeze on it.

Wow, Our balls are going to end up that way by next week anyway. I spy a cookie too, but where is Waldo?

Our ball is in nearly perfect condition. the first day we got it we played hacky sack with it and almost broke a celing tile and put a tiny hole in the ball. The mentors have since hid the ball.

We have gone through a ceiling tile and somehow our ball came back down. Lets just say there is a substantial piece of ceiling tile missing. We have also hit a lot of ceiling tiles when our weapon was at a 30 degree angle. Unfortunately, no real damage was done.

most recent update:

with the ball leaving the weapon at 24 or 25 mph (legal is 26. something), we can shoot at a 0 degree incline across the width of our basketball court. when we increase the ange to 10 or maybe 15 degrees, the ball hit the far wall (the end of the court) at eight or ten feet higher, so we need a fine angle control device... off to work on that. *sigh*
