I've been searching the web and since I couldn't find a solution to my problem, I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this. The problem is that I can't find any quality hosting service in Brazil for our website. I've been looking around and the only solution that seems reasonable for me is an international hosting service, but which one? And I also would like to know if there is any website or tool that I can use to test the speed (quality) of a host.
Thanks in advance!

I have no idea what the answer to your question is...
but a personal rule I follow for choosing hosting (or other things) is that, even if I've found good reviews for the host, I would never pay for the service until I communicate with at least one other person who has used the host and has found it to be a good host with good customer support. On the other hand, if your options are limited because of your location, that might compromise the ability to do that.

Also, a quick Google search turns up this:

Which one do you use? Is that any one that you would recommend? The list is great but the Brazilian hosting services are really expensive. :ahh:
Sevaa.com has offered free hosting for FIRST teams, I recommend you consider them.

yes i recommend Sevaa.com too, just because of the money saved...also a pretty cheap (and value for money) host would be bluehost (http://bluehost.com) our team's site is through them, and they offer a lot (in my opinion)
good luck in finding a suitable host :)
Hey tchescow,
You can check out the deails of Sevaa's offer via http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24872

Our team actually uses Sevaa too, since it's free for FIRST teams. I'm not in Brazil, but I'm planning on using powweb.com when I start up my personal website.

It's not in Brazil, but with the week or so I've had hosting from www.totalchoicehosting.com, I've been pretty happy. $4 per month for 450mb storage. 10 gigs transfer. Unlimited everything else. CPanel. Doesn't get much better than that.
In any case, make sure you get a host with CPanel. It is the best hosting control panel software/interface out there.

Wow!
One of the guys on the team once mentioned bluehost.com, it is great and we are really thinking about using their services. Also, thanks for the Sevaa's hint, it is on the top of the list right now. One of the students also found a great host in Brazil! Once we had no options at all and now we have severall options to choose! That is awesome, thanks a lot for the help guys. :D
