A word of advice: Don't ask the local police to help you tune your launcher! ;) ;)

Even better is when you enter your school to work during build and the police show up and yell at you becuase you tripped the silent alarm system. This has actually happened to us twice now. We still try and work out a time period with our school and our janitors but they still don't always work out. hmmm.... maybe if it happens again we can get them to check our speed for us?

if it happens again send a robot into the hall to greet them!

On second thought, maybe not - they might send in their own robot :ahh:

hmm...could a barrage of poofballs would be effective against a bomb diffuser?

They wouldn't even be effective against other FRC bots, Vex maybe, but that wouldn't be too kind :)

On the Thursday before kickoff one of the school officials took too long to disengage the alarm and about 10 minutes later ( Holland police seem to go the long way around) a cop showed up and we had to explain that we were getting setup and stuff. Then it happened again on kickoff and again this past Saturday. Soon they're just going to ignore the call and it'll be real...

Amazing too - If my eyes don't deceive me, he will be born a month after the offense date - somewhere around ship date.... ;)

This isn't very funny.
At all.
In fact, it is borderline not smart.

Yup... We have done that too. We also showed up one day to discover someone had broken into the school.

I think (judging from the speeds listed) that the balls broke the speed limit, not the robot...

HA thats funny. during our past robot building seasons the janitors have beat us out of the school every year. the only problem is that we then have to close and set the alarm for the school. plus the school is super freaky at night with all of the vending machine lights glowing.

I see our team at the Pep Rally wheeling out Big MO and shooting balls to the students to be called down for class games.
