What do you do when its time to take a break from building??

We take a break about 5:00 everyday to play football in the back parking lot of the school...then after a about 45-60 minutes we are back moving at our normal pace...

what do you guys do to take a break from building???

At 5:30 we go as a team to dinner and once 3-4 people finish we go outside and start playing hacky sack and that usally lasts untill 6:15. Then we go back to builing, with some drink breaks (we get unlimited re-fills from the fountain machines)

Lunch. We walk either up the hill back of our build site for fast food or go to a deli across the street and down aways. Sometimes we will play volleyball (have a picture somewhere of the team doing so). Then it's back to the grind.

We should take more breaks. Once, we went flying around the ice in our go-cart though... That was fun.

we take a small food break (lunch or dinner, whatever it happens to be) and just sit down and talk for a few minutes...I sometimes just eat and if we're not talking about anything related to the robot, or robotics, I just leave and go back to doing my work

I often take trips to the vending machines in the cafeteria, and every now and then we play ultimate frizbee outside.

The team breaks for about a half hour for eating, but that's about it. Sometimes, I drive an RC car.

We eat. Other breaks occur when someone is testing something and everyone else comes and watches.

Pretty much the parents of the people in the team bring us food everyday. The parents have it set up so one parent brings food each day and alot of tiems we have left overs and such, pretty much each day we get a 5-10 minute break to eat and talk and such. After that its build build build build, home...

my animation crew and i have little hour-long LAN parties during lunch. one of our members has an old version of unreal on his computer and we run it over the network. I play Starwars: battlefront (the original) too.

1293 usually stops for a half-hour or hour for lunch. Other than that, we really don't quit until we quit.

We eat. Then we go to magnaflow.com and listen to the 4 bangers with cans or the F350 Powerstroke diesel....or a vette or a GTO or a stang.

Or there's the days when I bust out the chili....it acts slow...the gaseous effects aren't usually felt til' the day after.

Then today, I just finished rebuilding the injection pump on the Vocational department's 1984 ford diesel tractor....I went bombing through campus in 6th gear...i'm not a rap fan but, you just want to blast Move &(#*! as you drive...that thing's a tank....

Break from building? Except for having to go home, the rare working tea break, pizza or setting part of the garage/robot on fire... That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

EDIT: Oh, and there's a strange thing called school which gets in the way a lot too...

We play hockey and dodgeball on our field at randomly designated "break" times.

we're not allowed to take breaks unless its eating the food parents provide for us on wednesdays after our meetings or weekends for full work days so we sneak out and grab one of the old soccer balls we used for OCCRA and go to our back field and play soccer. or we drive around and hang out and then get yelled at when we come back.

we start immedatly after schoole is over at 3:00 and the only break we have is when dinner comes at 6-7pm then work till 9:00

we only break when the teachers tell us to go home, and even then some of us manage to keep working with one of them for at least an hour, on a good day... lunch ... dinner ... breakfast (on sat and other school off days) ... testing parts of the robot can cause everyone to come and watch, but that's about it.

we only get two hours after school, and from 9 to 3 on Saturdays. how long do yall work?

on saturdays we work from 9 am until 5 oclock but we have moments the build goes slow and we just kind aplay games talk listen to music

so far from what I've figured, breaks for us is to just go eat at lunch and dinner time then back to work and at the end of the build day where the teacher tells us "go home" some of always say "almost done, almost done, few more minutes".
