We have been trying to get our 2006 CMUcam to work for about a week, to no avail. We have been using the labview software, both our main and backup batteries have been fully charged every day, and all of our cables are connected correctly. However, the camera hasn't been able to respond (i.e. no lights turning on, not responding to labview, etc.). We still have the CMUcam from 2005, so we decided to try that one out with the same wiring and configuration as the 2006 CMUcam to try and discover what the problem was with the new camera. We plugged the old camera in, and it worked perfectly. Any help would be much appreciated!

Ya, our team is having same problems i have been posting the same question on forums i didn't get any formal answer to that. Nehow i think the camera is broken or something because the last year's camera works fine. So eventually, the only way out is either use last year's camera or buy a new one. Thanks for posting the question up.

...Did you make sure that the switch on the camera was "ON?" I know it's sort of silly, but it's an easy thing to miss.

Is there an air gap between the back of the camera board and the aluminum of the gimbal plate it's mounted on? (Electrical tape does not constitute an insulator in this case.)

Yes, I made sure the camera was on, but I completely forgot that the mount for the camera was conductive. If I haven't fried the camera already, I'll put a gap between the circuit board and the mount.
