Nice!

So, how did you make your rollers? Our mech team bagged the designs I had been working on with a small group of students (after we built a series of six working prototypes), so we aren't using rollers: your secret is safe with me.

Totally ignoring the centerpiece of the picture, I'd like to inquire what sort of chain you're using on those wheels. It looks a might bit bigger than ANSI #35 to me... or I could be imagining things. I do like the six wheel drive and the ball pickup method. Or that could be because this is almost the same thing as what we're doing.

Sorry, been gone for the last couple days.

First, it is 35 chain but might just look big from the picture.

Second, The belts are actually rubber bands. Big rubber bands. These were just samples ones we got but hopefully we will be getting more aesthetically pleasing colors.

Third, the pulleys are 2" schedule 80 PVC turned down on a cnc lathe to have 1" beveled slots that keep the rubber bands aligned. The silver end on the center pulley actually pulls out with two screws the replace rubber bands and the top and bottom have full length aluminum rods that pull out. Bushings were pressed into the PVC ends and also bolted to the vertical aluminum channel. The center pulley is driven with a window motor.

I'm not from their team, but a quick google search lead me to http://www.the-box-office.com/rubber_bands.htm

Seems somewhat similar to what's on that bot. Nice looking delivery system, by the way!
