what do you think teams will do in auto?

Our teams putting the ability to do any number of things in auto and choose whichever one we want to do at game time.

As long as I finish the program in time and get to work out all of the bugs we should be able to everything listed and more :D ...

first, we were going to use it to speed up our shooting mechaniscm, but now we changed the motor, so things changed. Shooting center!! :D

since our robot is still not finshed yet we do not know how we will do auto. All we do know is that 10 balls in for 3 points will be needed to win games.

we're intending to shoot for center, but as is, our shooter may not be working, so we could end up just pushing around other robots attempting to score...which would be quite fun!

We are hoping to shoot at the center goal. We are also adding a mechanism that may let us go for the corner goals.

If everything goes as planned, we should be able to shoot from the starting position.

Oh, yeah, and something secret related to my Programmer's teaser earlier. ;)

we're going to direct our robot in the green screen direction for the cam to track move till a certain pan angle and tilt angle is achieved(2 or 3 sec?) and shoot about 5 balls in the top goal(cause of our design complications our harvester goes straight to the shooter and it can only move five or less balls, more then it jams, and if we even have a launcher), if not then straight to the 1 point goals with ten balls it is.

Think multiple modes, some capable of shooting from the starting position, others from areas on the field, and of course, blocking others/altering their position. Its definitely going to be more of an exciting autonomous this year.

I personally think that teams are under estimating the side goals.

During auto mode we were planning on.... o wait, we were saving this one for if we ever go up against 25 :p

We are going to be able to shoot all 10 balls into the center goal and drive to an unpredictable spot every time we do it. Go copycat program, woot woot! We will also be able to dump the balls into the coral if we need to. Defense during auto will also be available, just not used too often (or at all). Cya at the competitions guys, only 2 weeks away...... :cool:
