Check out our test fire of our launcher/hopper. We need to tone down the speed some, but it is working well!

thats the first thing i noticed too when i saw the video. A robot just needs to be in front of you to block all of your shots.

Easy to block, and you might have a little trouble aiming. Nothing a little bit of driver practice can't fix though.

wow you guys had a lot of confidence to fire that thing at the target with a PC sitting 2 feet away!

very cool - I would not worry about another bot blocking it, esp in auton mode - they would have a very difficult time finding your bot on the field and getting in your way.

BTW, what was gating the balls into the shooter? it looks like it could fire a faster sequence of shots.

It looks like there's a conveyer going directly into it. You can see it, it looks like a yellow polycord.

We feed into the shooter from our hopper. At the bottom of the hopper we have a series of two servos that allow one ball to fall out at a time. The ball then goes up a ramp into the shooter. I will try to get some close-up pics tonight.

Ahhh, It's a Dell PC, who needs 'em.
