so,
6 wheel drive with transmission... looks similar to last year maybe.

balls go up the helix... and then out the shooter on top.

The shooter sits on a nice big gear milled out, but i still a little perplexed on what point it rotates on. It looks to be off center of the robot, so does the shooter rotate on its own axis, or move around the drum?

no idea how the balls get off the ground into the helix yet either.

after last years bot, i'm ready to see something amazing again. What 2nd regional are yall going to this year, if any?

so the turret moves around where the balls are stored or it rotates around the turret and as it turns a ball gets fed up into the turret one by one by the shooter itselft picking it up and shooting it?!? =X

cant wait to see you guys at boston!!!

Where's the pink powdercoat?

In 2006, 233 wants you to quite literally Think Pink by imagining the powdercoat is really there. Ingenious AND cost-effective! :p

good idea about saving the $$ but we're powder coating as i type. our 2nd regional is boston and the pink team is once again hoping for some snow. last year in denver we were snowboarding on the tops of rubber maid containers. quite a sight!

you can see that the turret sits on shoulder bolts with nifty little rollers.....they are attached to the gear. so the shooter spins around the axis of the ball and rotates with the entire ball screw.

looks cool.
