I brought up the IFI Loader and tried to load up our hex file, but a message came up that said:

Invalid Address: 0x0 (correct Range: 0x800-0x7fff)

How do I fix this

What version of the IFI Loader are you using?

Uninstall 1.0.0 and install 1.1.0 (2 Feb 06)

Post if it fixes your problem.

Take a look at this thread:

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25662&highlight=Invalid+Address%3A+0x0+%28correct+Range% 3A+0x800-0x7fff%29

found this by searching for:
Invalid Address: 0x0 (correct Range: 0x800-0x7fff)

(search on the Orange bar above the ads)

(change the 18f8720.lkr with 18f8722.lkr - in the answer)

18f8722.lkr is the linker I have in it

Hmm, let's see. Maybe do a 'Clean' (Project, Clean in MPLab). Also, check to make sure the device in the Configure, Select Device is the 18F8722 processor.

Yes I have that device selected, now, when I am exporting the hex, do I need to edit anything on the window that pops up? Program Memory Areas?

under the program memory checked box it has Start:0 End:0x1fffe

I don't think you need to do the export. Just do a build (F10 or CTRL-F10) and then grab the .hex file that is created. I've never had to do export to get a .hex file that will load.

Well, when I clicked build all, it didn't do anything.

It sounds like a configuration problem. Has it worked in the past?

It built when I was over at Bosch, but it hasn't worked since I brought it here.

I'm back.

Send me your project file. Let me see if I can see any problems.

That's not normal. Are you sure you opened the project (.mcp file) using the Open... command of the Project menu, and not just the individual source text files using the File menu?

Could it be your output window is simply not visible. See if my post in this thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?p=446675&highlight=output#post446675) helps.

E-mail is hard, since this is a school computer (curses websense  ). When I tried to make/build, it froze for a sec, and did nothing.
